Just been browsing some youtube, wondered if its down to personal preference?

See many videos of people standing on the pegs, flying away on 1 wheel and many of people just sitting on the seat, flicking the clutch but stay seated.

Just curious is all Thumbs Up

I tend to stand up as you can see over the bike easier rather than sitting dead square and looking round the bike.

standing makes it easier to control the wheelie by shifting your weight
well at least on the moto-x bikes was never really into wheelies on the road bikes
I'm bad enough on two wheels never mind 1 Embarassed

Well... I don't fancy wheelies on the CBR but on the sumo I was happy sitting down.

The only thing is, like you say SQL, I did find it fairly hard to view over the front..

It also depends on they type of wheelie too Paddy,

Slow wheelie = Sit down, covering brake, looking around the side of the bike.

Fast wheelie = stand up, weight forward (abit), looking over bike.

Thats me tho

I would try and wheelie but i can't risk fooking up my bike as it's my only form of transport, still not used to cornering on it yet anyway so i'm riding like a mong at the mo.

Will likely be at the BBQ as long as nothing comes up or I don't write off the bike
