as I work from home most of the time these days I try to do my bit
but no more after reading this Thumbs Up

Quote:
Married men who shirk traditional “female” housework have more sex with their wives than those who willingly pitch in with the cooking or cleaning, a new study says.

The research, out of the University of Washington, shows that couples who keep to traditional household chores – where men rake leaves or fix the car and women tidy up or shop – have significantly more carnal encounters than their more egalitarian counterparts.

“Where the male is doing the male tasks and the female is doing the female tasks, those are the couples (who) are having more sex,” says Julie Brines, a sociologist at the Seattle school and a study co-author.

The study was released Wednesday by the journal American Sociological Review.

It found that couples spend an average of 34 hours a week on so-called “female” chores and 17 hours on more traditional male tasks. It also found that couples overall reported about five sexual encounters a month.

House cleaning IS womans work. Women should just get on with it and leave men get on with man jobs. Thats why you never see women play rugby (not ones I would wanna touch with my penis anyway), and you never see men as hairdressers unless they like shagging other men.

Don't be too harsh, maybe he wants to be a hairdresser (as a barber would be too masculine a profession).

Calm down dear.
Being female she can multi-task and crack on with all those jobs and BCF at the same time. She may even find time to put new batteries in the rabbit.

To be fair I understand the thought process, but this is all wrong. Sure, men do man things and women do woman things, but your examples are frankly ridiculous.

A man living on his own needs to look after himself, which is quite standard really. Only a weak man needs a woman to treat him like a child and do all these simple things for him. What's wrong with washing your own clothes, making your own food, and giving your house a clean when it needs it? What right does anyone have to demand that somebody else do it for them?!

I like men to do the men-things cos I'm so lazy I don't really wanna fuckin do them, so if there is a man available to do them, then I'm quite happy to be the one who does most of the Dorising.

... although I'm getting to the stage where I might pay a Polish girl to do it whilst I waste time pestering you lot on here Cool Thumbs Up

Only thing I don't do is ironing, not even for myself.

I don't like doing those things. (Well, I do like making my own food, but only thanks to it's very direct relationship to being able to eat food Smile ).
But I do like fixing vehicles, making shelves and hefting heavy stuff around.

Oh and I did look at costs for paying someone to iron my shirts due to lack of said lady enthusiastic to do house work - and decided that while I was in a job that paid ok, I'd prefer to spend the money on commuting on a GSXR1000 and use some of that saved time to iron them myself Razz.

How the heck do people spend so much time per week on house chores?
Kick the women out and let the man do it. He'll get it done in 1/10th the time.
I do more around the house than the woman I'm sleeping with and am in the double digits per week. Man up, do the work and jump in the bed/on the kitchen counter/on the coffee table/in the shower with your partner
