Well by the end of next week I will be able to hold my head up high.
Just done a deal and traded in the Sc***er in for an XR125.
Planning on riding it until about July then taking my DAS

Even though I'm 37 and still on L's at least I won’t get quite as much piss taking. Lesson learned? HELL YES Embarassed

There's no age limit to starting. Sat my CBT and got myself a G125 just before my 49th birthday. Failed DAS twice and sat 125 test and am now on a GS500 restricted for 2 years and am still having a ball. Good luck and remember there 's more than one way to skin a cat
Thumbs Up

Really good choice. I'm doing my test training on one and they are lovely to ride. Comfortable, enough power, very light, as user friendly a bike can be.

Have fun with her. Thumbs Up Smile

Just a quick update,
I picked the XR up today and have had a great time riding her about.
Was very strange for a while learning the gears but I'm getting there. Still miss time a few gear changes (I'm better changing up than down) but on the whole a very enjoyable experience.
Oh and the joy of being nodded at has not worn off yet, and best of all the silence from the kids who normally take the piss says it all Thumbs Up

LOL, kids going varoom thats soo mean, lets hope you dont stall in front of them, that will give them a whole new reason. Glad u stepped up from the automatics and got a "real" bike. Much more fun.

Good luck with the new bike.
