This morning we made butterflies out of regular and irregular polygons. Then we coloured them in symmetrically. After that we put our hands behind our backs, closed our eyes and played "Guess That 3D Shape!'. Then we all had fish and chips for lunch. I get paid to do this. Very Happy

Interesting fact of the day... That sense is called stereognosis.

I do the same thing with some of my patients, only I put things like fir cones and coins in a pillowcase.

It pays the bills....

So much more stimulating than when the carers just turned on Countdown in the day room and let you while away the empty hours until your family didn't visit you again. Thumbs Up

Of course not! It was with third year undergraduate university degree students.

At least I feel it's that way where I work half the time...

Sounds like she did. I'm just surprised they let her out again.

Glad you are enjoying it! I will post pictures of my girls BTEC Textiles "Metal and Mixed Media Lighting Project" when we are finished. I had every kid on task yesterday whilst I machined the lower fins off my sprinter barrel in the lathe.

Why not weigh one or two bolts and then divide the total weight of all bolts to find the quantity? Laughing

I did, using the scales/parts counter. Samples 10 components, gives you a count when you add more. Repeat this process with 3000 of one thing, 1500 of another etc etc and along with finding and then replacing the items on our AWFUL stock location system, you have a day's work!
We're bringing in a new MRP system at work and everyone's banging on about how good it'll be for the company....the people that are in charge of it don't have a fucking clue how to use it. Twats.

I've done some jobs where I have been really unhappy in the past. I thought I had left teaching for good in 2003 when a bully at work drove me to the edge. It's funny how life's turned out.

That's pretty awesome... Having the trust in the kids to get on working without issue while you sort out bits for the badger... My old D.T teacher had to watch us like a hawk...

I have a second sense for trouble and eyes in the back of my head! These are nice girls and never give me any problems, I would not do that with my other KS4 group of boys studying Engineering!
