I have a pair of restrictors to put back in my Sons ER5, now thesee restrictors have an eliptical hole, which wayy round should they go?

I know they go in the carb end of the inlet manifold, don't they?

but does it matter whether the hole in it is top, bottom, side, etc...I would think it would go at the bottom, is that correct?

Hi

Don't know for certain, but at the bottom sounds logical to me.

All the best

Keith

I have the fitting instructions for my restrictor kit at home and will check them on Sunday evening, think it is as Keith says though.

Thanks very much for the scans of the restrictor Richard, haven't been able to print them out as of yet, but looks good enough quality. Gives me a real good idea of what the things look like. Do you know the material they're made out of?

No, they go under the carbs so it is a mixture of air and petrol, expect thatif you had the hole at the highest point then you'd get a slight collection of petrol on top of the restrictor.
