hullo guys .... just bought this '94 lucky explorer mito 2 days back and haf been having problems starting it since yesterday ....

i wuz just wonderin ... does d mito have an alternator ?? coz' i just bought a new battery for the bike .... but after taking it out for a spin and stopping 3 times, the bike just won't start ... the starter is fine but it feels like there is not enough power to just start the bike .... i suspect that the battery has not been recharged ... is this a common problem with the mito? if so ... how do we rectify it?? i'm really at my wits end coz the rectifier, coils and relay are all fine .... this is going to be ridiculous if i hafta start charging the battery everyday .... Sad Sad

suggestions ... anyone ??? plzz as i'm depending on dis bike for my everyday transportation ....

Hi

The Mito alternator is not that powerful (120w), but should certainly charge the battery normally. Start the bike up and stick a voltmeter over the battery and check it is charging. If not check the fuse first.

After that check that there is no extra drain, such as oversized headlight bulbs (standard ones at 25w, so if someone puts common 55/60 bulbs in there then that is all your electrical power gone).

All the best

Keith
