Any chance of putting a reminder up closer to the date as I will forget otherwise. Rolling Eyes Cheers.

Can i just state.... the Stoke Toy & Egg run are NOT orgainised by the same people who do the Pet food run & the Pet food run is a completely different event so please do not compare the Pet food run to the Toy & Egg run. We raise money for our own Childrens charity, they raise money for pets.

In fact, we do a much better job of holding events & have more of a following. The Toy & Egg runs have been going for 27years now, yet the Pet food run has been going for only 15.

See you on the day... ill be the one on stage in the Kings Hall "MC"ing after the parade has finished by the way. Come & say hello.

I wasn't overly impressed with the pet food run after they split the 2 groups up by sending us the wrong way forcing hundreds of bikers to find their own way back to port vale stadium. Thumbs Down

I will be on the toy run, I intend to get there early so I can see people doing wheelies up the A50.

That was last years Pet food run... this year they learned their lesson & a few heads rolled as a result. This year teh Pet food run opted for the same police officers that we use for controlling the Toy & Egg run, controlling the Pet food run. Many of which are also member of the Blue Knights & one of which is a Star bikers member.

The problem on last years Pet food run was caused mainly because the lead motorcycle was going far to fast & not controlling the pace of the parade properly... as a result the parade had huge gaps & when they got so far down the route the waiting marshals left their point after not seeing a bike for a few moments as a result the 2nd half of the parade - many of which were on 50cc & 80cc motorcycles had no marshalling control & had to self marshal themselves back to the finish point of the run.

As Malb said we were only comparing. And if its as good as they organised this year then the toy run should be even better!

Hopefully it won't be too cold either, I shall be there if the weathers not too bad Smile.

This isnt the one where you give a toy/toys and pay to go on the run is it?
Did a toy run in stoke a few years ago and was expected to pay to go on the run!
Sorry but if i am donating a toy / toys i am not going to give them money as well.
Its the only place (stoke) that does this and i dont think its right.
If it isnt i appolagise and i will be doing the toy run, if it is then i will do the pet food run in derby on the 18th december.
I also feel that it shouldnt be down to us to provide toys for the kids (nothing against them, i love children, just cannot eat a whole one any-more (LOL) i feel that it should be down to the local councils!

Its for charity, They're hardly robbing you blind by asking you to donate a pound and taking a toy is optional. Tight git!

OK where for a quid can you??

*See thousands of bikes on the road at the same time? - to get into the NEC to see a couple of hundred bikes costs a fortune
*Get access to a concert to see a live band perform - A night out in a pub with a band on charges at least a fiver PER PERSON admission fee.
*Take part in a potentially record breaking event
*Your £1 also entitles you to be entered into a prize draw where you could win some prizes or even a trophy.

A weekend away at a bikers rally will cost a lot more than a quid & what we have on offer on the day is i'm sure worth a quid of anyones money.

We ask for a donation of £1 PER BIKE - not per person... if you pay it or not or if you donate a toy or not is up to you - You are the one who has to sleep at night after all - but at the end of the day if you turn up on a £4000 superbike then bike what's a quid when all that is on offer for you to enjoy yourself?

I think Odie isn't bothered about the great financial impact on his life due to being £1 poorer, but the fact you're not allowed on the run if you just donate a toy, so they'd rather you didn't come along and donate a toy and show support if you're not also willing to give them a cash donation, yes it's not much cash but it's still daft. So can people expect in a few year not to be allowed on the run unless you can show a receipt to prove that your donated toy is worth at least £x?
