So, further to this thread: https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=258878

I bought a K2 600.

It's very, very clean and I would like to keep it that way.

So I've spent £80 on some fairings, £20 on some matt black paint, £10 on some Suzuki stickers, and then spent the last few weekends sorting it.

I made all the graphics with some £4 Vinyl and some guesswork.

The tank is a K1/2 1000. Got a dent and a few scratches but it's presentable.

Now I don't have to worry about scratching it, leaving it anywhere, or dropping it on the track / loading it in the van. Thumbs Up

This old school Dymo "Full Potato" sticker is the best thing I've ever seen on a bike. You are my hero, sir! Mr. Green

Maybe I should get a gnasher for the tank.

I prefer the original, this bodywork is full of cracks / fibreglass / filler and is rough, but there's no worries now if I drop it.

I have some panels also should you smash those ones, again they are probably the same/worse than your "new" ones but they are there if you need.

Looks really good, I really like a matte finish. Only thing I'd do is do the tank to match as I think the shininess is a bit too different to the rest of the bike. Obviously if it's just track bodywork you probably don't care but maybe if you have paint and vinyl left over it might be worth a shot?

Full potato sticker is ace Laughing

I agree. Get a fine scotch pad and some stuff called G-Scuff. It's a blending/cutting compound used to blend paint repairs. I've used it a few times to make gloss paint matt/satin, it always comes out great.

Looks alright.

Did you scalpel the graphics? Or plotter?

And what's the Potato sticker thing about? My mate has got one in the rear window of his track car.

I used a pair of kitchen scissors, the cheapest vinyl I could find (which kept curling up) and just guessed. It'll do for track stuff.

Hi garth, looking to get back in to bikes soon after almost a year off! Considering these (perhaps even 750) and wondering roughly how much you paid if you dont mind saying (pm if possible). Would be very grateful for any help with this.

Stunning bike btw.

I ride it on the road too, but I have mainly done it so when I load it up / strap it down / ride like an arse I won't damage the original panels.

I will remove the mirrors for the track but I expect the indicators will stay on.

All fairings came from ebay, they're not the best. OE panels that have been crashed.
