Is there any kind of program where you can record what websitery jobs you have done, and what you still have to do?

Cos, like, I would like to list all the things I have done so far, i.e.,

1. Download [this stupid cart program] next time will be "Make new shopfront" = with its associated list of relevant actions.

2. Accept [whatevs] from Godaddy
3. Accept [whatevs] from 123Reg
4. Upload [whatevs]
5. Change/input payment address to [myPaypal]

... and so forth.

So that when I do this again, I can tick off the things I have done for this project which have worked correctly, and I will know I am going down the right road.

OR if something goes wrong, I can say "okay, I have done XY and Z, but when I did ABC, it all went tits up" -

I want to have something to use as a sort of analytical/troubleshooting tool for future projects.

But without all the ubergeek guff.

I want old people to understand it, something that 12 year old boys just "know" without having to explain everything thirtyfive times.

Otherwise - there's various 'to do' things that let you make templates, checklists etc.

Hey Hellkat.

If it's just for you, I think you may benefit from using Excel for this as most others do.

You can find calendars/to-do lists and such already online and pre-made for you which will allow you to keep track of what has been done every day and what needs to be done the next day or whatever.

If not, there are websites like MyMemorizer/RememberTheMilk and others that are online calendars, to-do lists and reminders which may be just right for your purpose.

If for multiple people, we used to use a Google Drive folder which could be logged into and checked so people could edit as and when they did things and so the document was stored centrally meaning it didn't need to be downloaded daily.

Plenty of solutions out there, just take a look! Mr. Green.

Cheers! Thumbs Up.

It might sound weird, but have a look into one of the free online wikis. It takes a couple of weeks to really get your head around it, but you'll end up with an organised, indexed, searchable information resource showing your projects, howtos, links, tips and templates. Use a Google calendar for planning/time management and Dropbox account for files and images.
