I've just been having a look at LOOBMAN and SCOTOILER chain oiling systems and was wondering if they are worth getting or not?

I have never tried the first one you mention so have no idea, but scotoilers Thumbs Up pretty damn smart if you are a lazy so and so or have little time to play with the chain.
Worth the monies in my opinion.

Same here. A Scottoiler is well worth fitting.

Yeah I was looking at you thread stryker very informative Smile I'm trying to think of which one to go for though. I've heard that both are good but I think I'm swaying towards the loobman oiler as it looks easier to fix to the bike then the scotoiler. Does anyone know how much they cost?

A loobman is about £17, a scotoiler is about £70. Both work and are worth having. They are better than any of the chain waxes you see on the market

If your not sure about this whole wire tying something on your bike thing then I'd limit the risk to £17. You'll know what I mean when you get the pack and think how tacky it looks. With a bit of perseverance though you will end up with a decent result.

I've not ruled out an upgrade to a scotoiler, however so long the loobman keeps working as well as it has I'd be hard pressed to be bothered with the upgrade. I've got a nagging feeling that the summer's high temps and resulting oil on the drive will sway that decision.

I think for now I will just go with the £17 loobman, I'm only on a 125 so not too bothered about it looking tacky or anything. But when I get my bigger bike i think I'll fork out for a scotoiler. Sorted Thumbs Up

Anyone know of somewhere near london that sells loobman kits?
