wearing bike gear in an interview is frowned upon

whenever ive been ive got someone to give me a lift so can turn up looking smart

as i dont know you personally i can only go by what you post on here but you seem to have a bit of an attitude

so far you have called people who offered to help monkeys (two seperate threads) and abused countless others

and the bloke who interviewed you a spotty nosed boy with acne

as he interviewed you im guessing he was in a mangers position so had got to that point somhow

im guessing you talked down to him

tl:dr lose the attitude for a while

First of all, if you were sat there thinking 'snotty nosed acne faced little shit' then that may well have came across in your attitude so I'd watch out for that (I know some people are just insufferable upon meeting but try telling yourself 'someone loves them' and try and ignore any negative feelings you have about them at least for the interview stage!). Secondly - regarding what you wear, I would say it's probably better to be over dressed than under dressed - had you been dressed smarter than he would have had to come up wit a different reason. Give them no reasons to turn you down.

More often than not, for job rolls were the skill set isn't so important or the interviewees are very well matched in skills the deciding factor is personality - the person doing the interviewing wants to know that they are going to get on with you every day. Sounds like you might need fake it Laughing

The usual process of getting a job via an agency is much the same as getting any other job - they put you up for interview if they think you have the skills set, you go charm the pants off the interviewer, you get a job and the agency take a big cut of what your wages would be if agencies didn't exist.

i used to work for an agency

got the job im in now through it

started temp contract for three weeks
work ed my balls off until it was up and they offered me the job

bit less money then i was getting but security and paid holiday so took it

that was 6 years ago

before that i was working for a car dashboard manufacturer and two days short of being there three months they laid all agency staff off

the only job i got by knowing someone was the apprenticeship
i had when i was about 19 at the wheelchair place and i had known them all since i was a kid myself and my old man worked for them

if the company hadnt gone bump i would still be there

every thing else ive done ive done myself dressing smart for interviews polished shoes look people in the eye and be confident but not cocky

dont mumble answers

find out a bit about the company before the interview

Words most often spoken by those who know little or nothing.

It's not about who you know - it's about who knows you, and that's all about what you know.

Just as a MASSIVE hint to you - compare and contrast this post and poster, with your post and yourself. Might give you a few clues?

Your attitude is your problem.

The scabby poles got hired over you, showing you are less employable than a scabby pole.

Drop the front and conform.
Also turning up to an interview in bike gear? Rolling Eyes

At least take the fuckers off, I wear my suit under my textiles.

all the poles i know work hard take all the overtime they can and never moan about having to work hard

when my missus got her job at aldi there were two jobs going

a pole got the other one but there were 2000 people applied for each job

so that pole was better for the job then 1999 other people

they may of had more experience then you
