Riding home tonight from Grimsby back to Tetney, took the short(ish) way home, through the west side of Grimsby, via Bradley Crossroads Spar to pick up some smokes.
Left the Spar, went towards Bradley Woods, for those who know it, coming from the Grimsby side towards Waltham, went round one corner, hit the second, amd saw a figure in the middle of the road. Swerved like mad, hit the back brake and nearly threw the bike down the road. Managed to save it and pull up on the other side of the road. Found a safe place to pull over (field entrance). And walked back up to see if anyone was there.
Saw nothing and was slightly freaked up by it all. Got back on the bike, looked in the mirrors before pulling off and saw the 'figure' there again right where I had before.
Slightly freaked me out. Not sure whether it was just a tired mind, post sex sleepy head or something else. Decided to have a look into it via google.
Seems other people have seen this before!!!!!

Not a big beleiver of ghosts or whatever else but this has me freaked out.

Really has got my nerves going.
I swear, that there was someone stood there, only just missed them, pulled up less than 10seconds later and it was gone. Then back again when I looked in the mirrors.

The sumo isn't really hard to miss with it's straight through can and top speed of 48mph (125 single), on crap tyres. So if it was a 'real' person they would have been able to hear me coming and slow down well before the corner.

It was just outside Grimsby.
Pretty much the countryside between town and the first village. Never looked up the ghosts and stuff round here. But the description is exactly what i saw.

Even Crazymotorbiker, when working at the Morrisons near by, admitted he would boot it on his GPZ400R, through there at night when leaving work, so if his bike broke down he would beable to clear the woods.

I feel for you fella, it must be traumatic to witness something like that, who knows what it could do to your mind.

I see you only having 2 options:

1) go back when the conditions are similar and see what happens again, film it for Youtube.

2) go and check yourself into the local sectioning place for a few days, better to be alone and safe innit? If something can appear and disappear at will who knows what else it can do?

I can sympathise with you on this one. I live in Grimsby quite close to the area and know of and have had friends who have also seen it. i used to scoff at these stories but after some events in my life i now have an open mind on the subject.

If it was anyone but the op, I wouldn't call bullshit.

I've 'seen' similar things before on a couple of occasions whilst out riding around.

Generally in the pitch black on back roads, and on roads / areas where accidents have known to have happened, and there has always been a noticeable drop in temperature for a couple of seconds.

Whether it's just mind tricks or if there has been something there, it's really quite unsettling, but in my mind, I know what I saw and the feelings that accompanied it.

I'm the most skeptical person around, but some things are just too hard to explain.
