Forecast looks ok-ish for this weekend. (makes a change. Wink )

Anyone fancy a crowd of North West BCF members to meet up this Sunday (17th Feb) at the Cat & Fiddle say about 1:00pm ?

OK I will be there anyway.! My 'excuse' is I NEED to test my new tyres on that road. Wink

Will get there about 1:00 and will be on a black Hornet S with a tinted Fuel exhaust.

I'm terrible at spotting people at in a crowd, so if any of you see me please grab my attention. I'll be on the blue sprint with a camera on my head lol.

Well the Cat is a great road but its a lot slower with 50 mph limits and speed Cameras all over it, but you can drop into Macc, then come back over the hill drop into Harpur Hill then follow that to longnor, then out of there to Bakewell and do Chatsworth Park and then finish up doing the Snake Pass? Depends what you fancy doing ....

Are you having a laugh? Shocked

It's poorly surfaced, clogged with buses and cyclists and full of riders whose enthusiasm generally well out-paces their ability.

That section is one of the most boring bits TBH. - The section from just outside Macclesfield to the Cat & Fiddle is very twisty, sharp burst, brake hard for twisty section, sharp burst, break hard etc, etc. Very Happy

Not sure which I prefer TBH the ride up or the run down. Both have the capability to bite you very, very hard if you don't watch concentration or have ideas above your station. Wink

The section in that pic is in the pub car park looking towards Buxton.

If you drop onto the Asbourne Road then cross to Viagellia that road has long fast stretches then sharp twisties down through the woods so wet and slippery this time of year but a real eye opener in the summer and no speed cameras on it at all anywhere .
