Worth a trip for someone, it's not free as such , but still worth it, if I had a van I'd be there.

I have a van, and the time, but the insurance cost and (I assume) impound fee is something I can't justify.

I did email the guy too, just to see what the deal was. No reply yet.

If i was closer and had some money to burn, i'd be more determined to get this, but i'm not that fussed.

He's handing over the log book, yes I know it doesn't prove the owner, might be worth getting a receipt.

I have been thinking about the possibilities, I had already figured to try and get a receipt off him (if the other guy doesn't turn up)
Other than that I can't really see anything too obvious!

Just a shame you really have to take it blind, because you can't exactly inspect it at the impound and change your mind!

If you do manage to get it, can I come have a go/you sell it to me cheap. I was going to look at an SRAD in the next couple of months anyway.

It does seem a legit story, it happends everyday, police seize car, can't get it back, so car gets crushed, if I ever was in the same situation, I would do the same thing.
