does anybody own one? I've got a HJC HQ1 Carbon with 25mm cheek pads.

when I fit the breath shield it takes up too much room, So where can I get smaller cheek pads from?

also, what's the little switch on the visor do?

I have one, don't have the same problem. I did need to modify the guard for the odd occasion I use my glasses, but luckily the dealer handed over another guard for free.

I have seen cheek pads online somewhere, but exactly where escapes me right now. Try contacting Oxford Products as they are the official distributor and should be able to supply some or at least point you in the right direction.

The rocker switch locks the visor closed so it won't open at high speeds... very high speeds.

HTH.

I only have:

(see, the tinted visor cost more than the lid Laughing )

With yours; Do you have a local Infinity? Clicky because they may be able to get spares/replacements.

i got a Pegasus one which I use over my Arai RX7 on the track.

Always has slight issues with the Arai line of vision as it seems to come over your eyes too much and i found myself adjusting it up by pushing my head down on the tank.

When i got a suit with a hump made matters worse so just use the HJC one now. Only cost me $160 but would defo buy another one over an Arai and they seem well made...

They are appaling. My order didn't arrive after 2 weeks and when I called them, they didn't have record so didn't take any money out the bank. I had a\n order number reference thing but they said it was almost useless. I ordered through www.visorshop.com who were much more helpful.

I have an hjc, i dont find the breath guard too big but im not keen on it although it does the job, the pinlock is a bit expensive so i may try the bob heath stuff. the helmet is great otherwise and the switch locks the visor down.

This is an old thread but it is a similar question.

How are these helmets? I'm looking at this one for example:

https://www.jsaccessories.co.uk/helmets/full-face/hjc-cs12-lotus-helmet-in-blue-mc2.html?

I'm a new biker with little gear and little idea. Thanks.

I had CS-12n from J and S as my first helmet.
Would highly recomend it for £35.
It was one of the only budget helmets that fitted really nice on my noggin. Smile
Sharp 3* for the CS-12n (2* for CS-12 which is no longer produced).
Very little noise at higher speeds.
Only negative is the misting up visor. During winter mists up easily at low speed, so I just kept it cracked open 1 or 2 notches at low speed.

I also have the FS-11... three issues, though.

1. Chin curtain is crap. Without it wind-noise is high, with it wind-noise is reduced but bloody thing falls out.

2. Sun-visor control is on the top of the lid so is impossible to fit a camera there (if that's one's thang!).

3. Pinlock is expensive as is non-standard.

Yeah get what you mean about chin curtain. I just added some Velcro bits near it and attatch it to that.

Can't you put the camera on the side?

I just find the helmet really comfy

I have the FS-11 too. I mount my GoPro on the chin, which looks daft but negates the 'I'm 10 ft tall' effect that the fish-eye lens tends to give when mounted up top.
