So upon ariving at work today i notice amongst several "nicks" in the tyre one which looks like a nail is in it. However i dont want to play around to much as need the bike to get home so how much does it usually cost to repair a tyre? and is mobile a lot more expensive than dropping it off at a garage? The bike is a keeway speed top speed around 60mph so definatly not an issue getting it repaired!

Cheers
Andy

As long as the nail is not close to the sidewall then you should be able to get the puncture fixed with no problems. You could buy the kit and DIY.

I plug my own with temporary repair kits depending on tyre some will last the rest of the life of the tyre (Bridgestones work the best, Avon are rubbish to temp plug)

How easy are these DIY kits to use (newbie)? I just pulled out a nail from the middle of my rear tyre and was surprised by the length. It's a cbf125 on conti go tyres.

not suposed to be a permanent fix though.... but plenty people have used one as...
personaly if it was my bike i would just put an innertube in..
regardless if fitted with tubless tyres or aluminium solid cast wheels
