Guilty.

Who wakes up in the night and thinks there is a burglar in the bathroom, and then shoots through the bathroom door without checking to see if their missus is still in the bed next to them?

Confused

Who makes a poll about an on going investigation where we don't know all the facts.

This is pointless speculation.

Anyone who shoots through a door without knowing what is on the other side is most definitely guilty of being retarded/reckless (reckless seems like to mild a word, what's a word for really life-endangering recklessness?).

That said, speculating on the outcome of a murder trial several thousand miles away with zero access to any evidence apart from media releases does seem pretty useless....

Also, why would his girlfriend lock the door of the bathroom so he had to smash it down if she was just popping in for a quick nocturnal wazz?

Force of habit? I lock the bathroom door when I'm in an empty house. I just do it without thinking about it.

Got himself pumped on test. Gets 'roid-rage, chases missus round the house with a gun. She locks herself in the toilet. He looses it and shoots her through the door. Put on his legs, got up off the floor. Everybody did the dinosaur.

Some famous(ish) guy with no legs thought a burglar had climbed over the fences to his gated community, got past the armed patrols, broken into his alarmed high security house and gone for a dump in his bathroom - so he shot through the bathroom door 4 times then realised it was his missus.
Seems legit.

IMO, the prosecution will rip him to shreds. As already touched upon, if you're in bed with the other half and you suspect an intruder is in the house, first thing you'd do is wake up your girlfriend. He's asking us to believe that he didn't even look to see if she was there Rolling Eyes The bloke sounds like a bit of an arsehole to me - legs or no legs.

Not sure about the prosecution ripping him to shreds, his defense seem to be shafting the prosecution at the moment Shocked

South Africa has a terrible record for violent crime though and seems to have a simerlerly shoot first ask questions later culture as in the USA.

Old story, money talks. But it does seem bonkers how much access the media has to the courts proceedings. By now a UK defence team would be arguing this much publicity would make a fair trial impossible.

They don't run a jury trial, the decision is made by the judge. And apparently the judge will not be swayed by public opinion, the media, family, emotion or anything else. Confused

I don't know.

Do I trust the Sun or the Times?

Difficult one.

I know nothing, so do you. Shall we start a poll named 'Heads or Tails'?

I think the judge version is a damn sight more likely to produce a credible result than a jury.

Jury idea is good, in practice it's pants.
