The three cardinals were delegated to look into the so-called 'Vatileaks' affair, after the Pope's butler, Paolo Gabriele, was arrested and charged last May with stealing and leaking papal correspondence that depicted the Vatican as a seething hotbed of intrigue and infighting.
La Repubblica said the cardinals described a number of factions, including one whose members were "united by sexual orientation". It also suggested some high-ranking members of the clergy were blackmailed by laymen with whom they entertain relationships of a "worldly nature". |

That is truly shocking.
The fact that a newspaper got the story 
The Vatican's normal approach is to bury such stories and paint those telling it in the worst possible light. For example with the priest kiddie fiddlers and the Magdalene Laundries.
I expect someone will be crucified for letting that story out of the bag

Not to point fingers at people who follow Catholicism.
However:
The church of Pergamos was founded by Nicolaitanes - Nicolaitanism), and was a Christian heresy first mentioned (twice) in the Book of Revelation of the New Testament.
Nicolaitane means “a follower of Nicolas.” It originates from the Greek words, nikos meaning “conquerer” or “destroyer,” and laos, meaning “people.” The original Nicolas—Nimrod (Gen. 10:8)—was a destroyer of the people. Nicolas is merely the Greek word for Nimrod.
Within two centuries after the Flood, Nimrod had conquered the people and founded man-made civilization. Nimrod was a Nephilim giant.
The church of Pergamos is blamed for having them who hold their "doctrines" (Rev 2:15).
They were seemingly a class of professing Christians, who sought to introduce into the church a false freedom or licentiousness, thus abusing Paul's doctrine of grace (Compare Pe2 2:15, Pe2 2:16, Pe2 2:19), and were probably identical with those who held the doctrine of Baalam (q.v.), Rev 2:14.
The Church of Pergamos was from 313--A.D. -- 606. This spans the time from Constantine's Edict of Toleration for Christians to what is considered the first actual true pope and the beginnings of the Catholic Church.
This is the root system building up to the Catholic Church.
Because of the heresy/doctrine/lies which entered the Catholic church, it's subjects suffered mental and sexual health problems in later life, they were also highly educated and used to prop up an empire.

In 1209, Louis VIII of France through Pope Innocent III in Bezier raised Catholic forces and massacred 20,000 Gnostic’s who made every effort to follow the teachings of Jesus.
They believed that there were two "gods" — one malevolent in charge of all visible and material things held responsible for all the atrocities in the Old Testament, and a benevolent god responsible for the message of Jesus.
Empires and the spiritual dead have risen up against Judea for thousands of years.

Philistines thought to be from the Aegean region 13th and 12th centuries BC.

By 572 Nebuchadnezzar was in full control of Babylonia, Assyria, Phoenicia, Israel, Philistinia, northern Arabia and parts of Asia Minor.
Persian Zarathushtrian conquerors 500 BCE
