Hi guys,

Currently looking to get my A2 license this summer and do some riding to lead into track days in winter or next year.

First question: Can I do a track day on this license now the new laws are in place?

Second Question: could after less than two years but when I'm more experienced acquire a race license.

Being a student means I have a hell of a lot of time in the summer to work and do as I wish so think this will be my main hobby.

Thanks.

You don't need a road licence to get a race licence.

For trackdays (which are massively better value than racing if you're not starting to find there's a lack of people to chase on trackdays) you often can't use your race licence for normal groups.

Does that mean I could go to a track day on an A2 license

On a non-MSV track, I expect you can - on a track you could have previously used on an A1 licence.
I would presume MSV still won't take them.

Anything from a special offer of £25 to £300.
Generally expect to pay £100-£150.

Summer weekends on big-name tracks will cost a lot more than winter weekdays on less popular tracks.
