Riding home last night, got bored of the motorway so I came off an on to some back roads. Needed a piss so I pulled over and walked up to some trees. Saw a skull lying on the floor.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBOvGqVD-Ho

Really strange though as there were no other bones anywhere in sight, literally just the skull!

Anyone have a clue what animal that's from?

I left it there. Kinda wish I'd kept it now.

Yep, pretty sure it's a badger. If you're headed that way again, you could always go back and get it. Or tell me where it is so I can go add it to my collection of weird shit mounted to my Volvo.

About 40 miles away from me, I'm not that dedicated towards weird stuff Very Happy

If you do genuinely fancy picking it up, I left it behind this tree:

So long as no other animals/people have moved it, should be there Thumbs Up

I might go back and grab it this weekend, who knows. £10 in fuel it would cost though... Thinking

Welcome to the bone collector's club. I have a cow's skull, two sheep skulls, a seal skull, skulls of several bird species and a rabbit skull or two. They adorn the pilasters at the end of my drystone walls and the window cill outside my kitchen. Thumbs Up Laughing

Bones are interesting things. Mr. Green

You did remember to not tread in the human excrement and soiled doc leaves that was close by and that was definitely not deposited by you?

Did you find all of those by accident? Smile

They really are though. They're kind of fascinating as to how well things have formed. Like the jaw on this skull. Still fully operational without falling off due to the joints. Muscle + skin isn't needed!
