Hi Guys,

Well I currently pay monthly to insure the fzr (£72!!!) I just noticed I have servery over estimated my mileage which is probably a costly mistake, it is marked down as 10,000 per year in six months I have only done 700miles.

So the question is will BikeSure refund me or reduce my monthly payments if I call up and lower my mileage (Im expecting to pay an Admin fee) or will they tell me to Shut the fuck up?

Cheers Thumbs Up

You often pay more for declaring low mileage.

6,000 to 8,000 miles is about the sweet spot for me. Anything more or less increases the premium.

Don't be silly, insurance is a one way game, they only TAKE.

Give money back or pay out incase of a RTA? don#t be silly that'd affect profits

No, leave it as it is. For me, insurance is cheapest at 5,000 miles, worked it out on the price comparison thingy (Using a pseudonym as they record and share all the prospective quotes you apply for now). 1,000 miles was £35 more expensive than 5,000 miles, I guess they're getting wise to the fact that they have no real way of telling how many miles you're actually riding and so just assume if you put in 1,000 expecting the cheapest quote, you're lying.

At the very least, any recompense they might offer you would probably be offset by the admin fee they'd charge to change the mileage for your policy.

You can have £5 back, but you now owe us a £30 adjustment fee.

And you'll be out every weekend racking up those miles.

I hope so. I really hope so, last year was terrible in West Yorkshire.

Wouldn't bother asking, there is no way they'll ever give you anything back but they will probably charge you admin fee for asking.

In the process of changing cars, informed insurers. To alter existing policy to new car was £11 + £42 admin fee Evil or Very Mad

No totally true about insurance.

I made a mid term adjustment on eBike because I realised my bike came with the advanced immobiliser and they put 40quid back into my account.
