Hi everyone. I just bought a Yamaha TW125 for £200 as a non runner. The guy had lost the key. I've managed to "hot wire" it. It's running fine but is giving off white smoke when I rev it high. Any thoughts?
Cheers.

UPDATE. I just earthed another of the loose the wires from my "hot wire" procedure and now I'm getting loads of good sparks. I'm going to see if she starts now.

I'm thinking it could just be water vapour. It does seem to evaporate off into the atmosphere quiet readily... It doesn't linger. It'd been running until hot for about 5-10mins and still not cleared though.

I I took it for a little ride and thrashed it up to 50mph around and about. I think it's made it better.

If it is water vapour where is is coming from? Fuel tank? Oil sump? The bike has been sat outside unused all season.

Nope. Thanks though.
I just went out to see and the white smoke has definitely calmed down a lot. I'm no longer concerned.
