How do, if anyone can help me with this I'd be very grateful.

I'm currently removing the end cover off a gear box from a Moto Guzzi Strada 750. Now I've removed all the bolts and connections but the end cover won't come away from the gear box, bar a few mill, but it seems more stubborn the side which the output shaft is, will the output shaft seal be holding it back and that I need to give it a bit of brute force or could there be something else?

Cheers

If I remember correctly the gear clusters are mounted to the rear plate so you start dismantling from the front end. First take off the clutch housing then the nut from the input shaft. The cases should then split.
The breather and neutral indicator have to come off too I think

So I'll need to remove the gear box, I tryed to do it without removing it, trying to create minimal work but I guess I can't avoid this one. Cheers!
