fitting 12v cigarette socket to a gsf1250

I want to fit a 12v socket but dont want to drill a hole in the fairing..ive seen a bolt on to the handle bar cigarette socket on ebay for £7 but it has a 2 pin connector at the end, does anyone know where the spare socket on the electrics is situated....its a 2008 suzuki gsf1250 k8 and would 0.5 metres of cable be enough length? thankyou in advance

Mine's wired into the headlamp wires I believe, works fine.

And your lights come on with the ignition.

For the sake of about £4 I would have relayed it tbh. But if it works......

I run with my lights on day or night anyway, so it's not an issue. Thumbs Up

I'd personally wire it straight to the battery and just don't have anything plugged in unless you're running the bike.

That's what I do on the CBF and the 650GS. I keep the cigarette charger wired on constantly, sits under the seat, no issues with battery running down just don't keep anything in it unless your running the bike. Works a treat.
