I have just become the proud owner of a 2010 street triple r.This is the bike I originally lusted after when i bought my Speed Triple.
But,
I have noticed that as i am opening the throttle to pull away the bike seems to pull away then bogs down slightly picking up again.I have ridden a newer triple r and this never happened. This also happens when I am in third of fourth gear and open the throttle to overtake.
Now I now there is not as much torque and i need to rev the bike more than with the 1050,but this doesnt seem right to me.I am taking the bike back to the dealer as there is three months warranty but would like any ideas as I am a mechanical moron and don't want to be fobbed off.

Has it got standard pipes? there are different fuelling maps you can get if it has after market pipies on or even updated ones, ask the dealer.

wrong mapping or throttles unbalanced, either way it needs a triumph dealer to sort it out

Cheers for the replies,I thought it might be an issue with the fuelling.I'll see what Triumph have to say and post their response later.

Wrong. You can fix both with an OBD2 cable (about a tenner) a laptop and the free TuneECU software.

675s normally fuel perfectly, what cans are on it and what's the mileage?

Took the bike back to triumph. Straight away said the throttles needed balancing. The striple is now running sweet as.

I know that, but from the perspective of the OP it's not his job to sort it out having just bought it, but he doesn't mention where from, and if he's bought it from a non-triumph dealer they probably won't be able to sort it.

Hardly worthy of a confusing rating now was it? Especially when you said it needs a Triumph dealer to sort it.

As I put in the OP,I am mechanically inept. The triumph dealership sorted the problem out. The previous owner had taken all the play out of the throttle and this had affected the throttle position sensor, apparently. Whatever the cause the bike is now running sweet.
