HIguys

Well just chatting to my friend ,he has a huge problem.

I'm not sure how to approach this matter.

He can't afford it,it's doing him harm,

Now the question is what to do to help him sort it out?

Become his dealer. The problem will sort itself eventually and you'll be considerably better off.

Share the load?

Spend some of it on hookers?

Coke and hookers, that's the best I've got...

What, is he getting it on tick then? Because you can't be doing 600-800 a month without somehow paying for it.

Alas, in these cases, he won't listen until he gets the beat down of his life from his dealer, stabbed, or his family start paying the price for his indulgences, some thing happened with a friend who got fond of crack, they'll nod and agree with what you are saying, but sure enough next day they'll be at it again.

I guess its like any addiction, he has to decide for himself that he wants to stop, and put his foot forward first.

He knows he's fucking up, let him figure it out.

Don't lend him any money.

if he has no dependants just grass him up to the fuzz Sad

sounds harsh, but might give him time the kick to the nads he needs

for a habit like that, talking isnt going to reach him, so anything short of an intervention isnt going to do much till he hits the TOTAL bottom, and thats not a place i wish on anyone

How did I know someone was going to come out with such shite?

Lets face it, £600 in one month on a binge - you can bounce back from that, be it financially on a physical health basis. Mentally he CAN change.

But stitch him up so he is caught with £600+ worth of chez? Thats possession with intent to supply at the least, a criminal record and possible prison sentence? What fucking good is that going to do him in the long run? Slam many career doors, or job opportunities full stop, separate him from his family and friends who might try and help him once he makes the decision to help himself, and instead put him in a hostile environment surrounded by more drug users and enablers, whereby he'll make more criminal connections and likely decide that since his life is now pretty much fucked he may as well go the whole hog. You wonder why the rate of re-offending is high?

I would champion the suggestion of arranging for him to be beaten to within an inch of his life before I would agree with getting the fucking law involved.

Tell him that he'd feel more awesome, for longer if he bought MDMA. That way he saves on cash as he'd get ~6 hours out of the equivalent amount of coke that would do 30 mins. Better value for money. Every little helps.

Eh, some pretty terrible advice that has been pointed out by GhostRider.

I also have to +1 GhostRider again...(licking his a$$ or what?!) the only way he is going to get off this, is if something terrible happens, something that makes him wake up and smell the fuvking coffee.

I made a post a while ago about my mum, she struggles with an addiction which she is yet to overcome, but the only way she snaps out of her 'phases' (times when she drinks a couple bottles of vodka and wine a day) is when the sh!t hits the fan and she is forced to.

Hope your mate sorts this out, wish you all the best. Talking to someone with an addiction is not easy, expect lying.....lots of lying.

That’s an awful lot of coke.
To actually find anything decent is difficult nowadays unless you spend a lot. I had a mate who got really into it, every occasion I saw him he was wired…one day he told me that he cut it right down, now he’s on a clean path with a wife and a good job. I could ask him how he got through it.

As for getting him off it, I think I would take two different angles. First off, tell him with absolute sincerity that you’d like him to stop because he looks a bit daft doing it so often. He should only do some at parties and special occasions perhaps…not anytime he wants to. You could add in that you’d prefer not to see him until he grows up and learns to control his habit. Use the guilt/embarrassment perhaps.
The second, more extreme option would be to tell a family member. I’m not an expert so this might not be advisable, the thing is, IMO I’d drop that shit like a hot rock if anyone in my family got involved.

Truth is you probably cant do anything to help your mate apart from being his mate.

Talk to him, suggest rehab, but he wont stop unless he wants to.

How much coke do you get for £600-800 a month?

It sounds a lot but I usually see drugs as expensive so that won't be much surely?

Average price is £40 on the gram, £60+ if its half decent. How far that goes depends on the individual, I have a mate who will do stupid sized lines and get through a gram in 3, and can't figure out why he gets through 3-4g in a night.

... just an excuse to go on a weekend bender, he'll bring his own supply like.

Besides, think it would take a bit more than a boozy weekend to curb a cocaine addiction.

Down this way you get the 60/g stuff and 80/g stuff. It's quite common to get a 60 and 80 and mix the two together. Supposedly there exists a 40/g variety but no-one I know bothers with it as it's obviously cut down quite a lot by that stage.

So going on the cheap end of things 800/60 = 13.3g or on the expensive side 600/80 = 7.5g

7.5g doesn't seem like an absolutely hideous amount over a month. Less than 2g per weekend, and by time you've gave lines to all your mates etc etc...

As said, if you're boshing a lot you probably won't be buying on the gram though.

Dunno if this helps you but....

I loved a few lines, but I was never a coke fiend.
https://i.imgur.com/Ejfy0ZJ.jpg

I loved it at the weekends with a few bottles of vodka and a a few mates.
We had a great time. Bloody awesome it was.

I cant do it anymore though for 2 reasons.
1, my missus would fuck off if i did
2, the thought of it makes me retch, which is weird.

But that craving for a line will always surface every now and again.
I can see why it is so addictive.

There are usually 2 parts to an addiction.
Along with the addictiveness of the chosen vice there has to be another reason why your mate is hammering it.

He needs to sort that bit out, then he can deal with the addiction.

The 80 is for the quality apparently....

Supposedly the 80/g is cut down with lidocaine once, the 60/g cut down twice etc etc. By the time it gets down to 40/g good luck finding some cocaine in there Laughing

To be honest though, I know fuck-all about coke, no-one I know does it apart from very occasionally. Personally I'd sniff a line if someone offers me one, but I wouldn't waste my money on it.

One of the reasons I wouldn't touch the stuff (aside from the job and drugs testing of course). Complete waste of money! It's always cut by the time you get it anyway, I think I read that it was always down to 30-40% anyway, even before all this 60 and 80 quid a gram shit happened. Even the 80 quid stuff is still probably about 40% at best.
