regards the diciplinary meeting coming, up, on reading the investigation report, one of the statements contradicts the original email that was sent by a supposed witness, thats not really the issue but there was obvious confusion during the meeting as it became apparent that the manager was talking about something different to what we had assumed was the issue. on getting a copy of the full investigation report a few days ago it became clear why the meeting was weird. and what the actual alleged issue was.

been told to expect a revised copy of the minutes via email but surely they cant change the details of the minutes from what they were, and if they are, why would they do that?

I should add that, my hubby has changed his statement now because he hadnt actually been told clearly why he was being suspended. started a new thread as the original was getting a bit hijacked.

Bring up any anomaly.

Once its brought to everyone's attention, it has to be explained/resolved by the people altering things.

If they are trying to change the situation to their advantage and then cover their tracks, it will be more difficult to do so once you have asked a question about such a change.

Smile and nod, sign nothing. They're only damning themselves if push comes to shove.

Did he have a union rep or a friendly face (i.e. witness) in these meetings with him? He was entitled to that. If it wasn't offered, then again, tick the box on the constructive dismissal grievance.

Sorry to hear this is still rattling in, it sounds like a massive waste of everyone's time just to protect a mid level mismanger.

we discovered he is being blamed for something totally different but hes just denied it outright, the minutes of the meeting have only been changed by one word and that is from is an issue to is not an issue, it still doesnt change the fact that what we have not disclosed are discrepancies which will be brought up by him at the meeting tomorrow.

well it seemed to go okay but the get your arse back to work im going to kick the managers arse over this fiasco didnt happen, he has to wait for a few more days for the decision and the guy he took in with him said he handled it very well and came out looking good, it doesnt look like he will lose his job just get a ticking off for calling his supervisor something unsavoury.(fingers crossed) they were very impressed at my handiwork as it saved them asking a shitload of questions.

I would make a very good investigator I reckon, Im like a dog with a bone if something doesnt look right. Just hope it was worth all the stress it has caused but I despise bullies in the workplace who get away with shit.

thanks for the vote of confidence pepper Very Happy
