Nice! I've always looked at the Sv650 but I just don't like the riding position - so I've settled for a very old Hornet Surprised

This is only a 2001, but has done just over 10k miles in that time.

Considering one of these for my next bike if the ZZR gets written off. I think I might prefer twins.

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? Can't believe how cheap insurance is for these things.

2001, 10k miles 2 owners, one lady since 2003.

£1800, probably a bit too much and the parade will be along soon to shoot me down but I'm happy with it.

Only 1 or 2 scratches. Otherwise mint, 12 months mot, new tyres, fsh

Hmm, anything more than £1200 I have no idea what I should be getting for the price, so got nothing to comment on there. As long as you're happy with the price, that's all that matters surely.

Looks tidy, like the curvy ones more than the pointy ones too.

I'm not a fan of pointy generation ones either.

Still has the unleaded sticker too, not sure about how to go about getting them off effectively without becoming a major task and ruining tank.

That looks immaculate.

You do, however, need to put a new exhaust on it. You'll fall in love with the V-twin roar.

Yes, I love the colour, really nice in real life, like a deep blue almost purple Very Happy

It really is immaculate, the mileage is an indicator of this really, struggle to get one this age with anything under 25k miles on!

Will have to give the hairdryer a go, I assume it won't get hot enough to damage the tank in anyway?

Was planning on getting a titanium Beowulf can with the rainbow effect at somepoint. Thumbs Up

Managed to get the tank warning sticker off, took 20 minutes with a hairdryer and loads of wd40, can't tell it was on there really. Thumbs Up

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Cracking first bikes IMO, crying out for an exhaust though!!

If you get an exhaust suitable for the point SV's, the angle of the bend just before the can is a lot sharper than on the curvys and can give it a nice look. I got a £90 Danmoto special for my old SV, looked and sounded good!

I had one of those too.

Before da hate starts....

It is probably a very good first big bike, it has also come to my attention that they are pretty fun on track when set up.

I think it was because I had ridden far too many bikes, that I thought it was just a rattle bag of death. BUT it could have just been that one. Not ridden one since Laughing

Looks VERY clean though.

It is immaculate really, needed something reliable and headache free as the bike is my only form of transport.

Also found a receipt from less than 1500 miles ago for strip, clean and rebuild of calipers, carbs balanced, oil change, coolant change.

It's even got a couple of nice touches like yoke guard, crash bungs, paddock bobbins, things I would of done myself anyway but now don't have too so more time to ride the thing Smile
