Well, I passed my test this morning with 4 minors

Got home and insured my SZR660 "33bhp" (/me does speech mark hand gesture) and kitted up

Was good fun for a first ride =D unleashing 50bhp, sorry... 33bhp, was frightening the first time, then just addictive. Had a quick blast around the local region getting used to the bike and fumbling with the gear lever every time I redlined it! Okay thats not as bad as it sounds because the redline comes very quick on this single.

Was great fun to actually be sliding back and forth on the seat from acceleration and braking.

Handling on the bike was so much better than the learners too, I often just kink the learner from side to side whilts going in a straight line out of boredom and on the SZR the same amount of countersteer produces a much quicker and steeper response.

All in all im rather pleased to have passed.

Enjoy it. I am Very Happy

Congratulations.
Passing your test at this time of the year might not be such a bad thing. If you can handle it in the wet weather just think how much more confident you're going to be on dry roads.
Take it easy
Thumbs Up

What do you ride again Mnementh? If you see a guy around on a blue SZR (half faired things with a red seat) you can probably bet its me as there cant be many in the country.

Nice one. They are a good easy-going motor on those bikes, minimum of gear shifting required, just a nice leisurely wind on/wind off. Very similar to the one on my supermoto. Ideal power delivery for this sort of weather. Keep an eye on your back tyre though, my bike chews them distressingly quickly (as do most big singles).

Enjoy.

Takes "big bang engine" to new heights

I love the way you can actually hear each shot of the cylinder at high speeds, its like a pneumatic drill. The acceleration feels distinctly out of your control.
