Well im gonna have a winge, why not Laughing

basically im an 18yr old lad that since left school has been the most unfortunate person alive, i reckon if i said now ill fall down the stairs at college tomorrow and break a leg it would happen Smile

Anyhow more to the point, i as most young lads do, take a keen interest in cars, ive been learning to drive on and off since november last year, i took my first test in august this year and failed with 4 major and 8 minors basically wasnt ready for my test, 77 pounds lighter and a saddened feeling i gritted my teeth and booked another one for 14th october, got halfway there and had forgotten my documents got home and back and had the test, failed again, 2 majors 3 minors, so i had had one of the two blokes and now the other bloke.

So another 77 pounds lighter i book another test, get this one for 16th november, yesterday, night before i put my wallet on the microwave with all the document i need in it, had my tea, wallet waas there, went out to see my girl came back, wallet gone.

I didnt take it out with me or nothing, it was on the microwave, i then searched for it till around11 30 last night, baring in mind the night before id had 2 hours sleep worrying about the test so i go upstairs lie on my bed and dose off, woke up at just gone midnight and continued the search into 2 30 in the morning, the stress/aggrivation took hold and i got al upset, ive been on anti depressants before but thats not something i want to go into on a public place, i went for a walk , came home, looked once more, id gutted the kitchen lounge bedroom everywhere the street my girls house everywhere, byt his point i was running on pure adrenaline i almost threw up when i had something to drink , went to sleep just after 3am and got up at 6 20 am, looked some more couldnt find it, phoned my instructor explained to him.

Contacted dsa/dvla about my test and documents and was happy to realise i could still take the test if i take my passport and pay a 5 pound fee, trouble being all my cards where in that wallet, vanished Neutral called up my mother at work, she spent 20 mins goin through this poxy press 1 press 4 press 6 and paid the fee for me, about 2 minutes past 9 i rang my instructor and he came and collected me, test was at 9 37 am, go to the test center, passport was out of date, expired 12th october 2004, but they still let me have my test

Got to the test centre, now imagine after all this i really am tired,im being kept awake by stress and buzzing off adrenaline, i was shaking for some reason i dont know why, i had the 3rd one of the examiners , a middle aged lady, she was pretty sweet and kept trying to calm me but i wasnt nervous i just shaking from all the grief, i shouldnt have gone for the test bt i would have lost my fee so i thought id rather have a bash at it and pay fiver more.

Well i must have been tired, i FAILED because i was travelling too slow, i got 4 minors and a major for it, amongst minors for control and observation i got a major for,, the cost of this test

39 pounds test fee
30 pounds car hire fees
fiver and a lot of my mothers time and patience bless her
feeling like a loser and a idiot coming home after al that malarky to fail it, feel like a dick cause everyone knows how much i want to pass it.

i slept all day after it, i havent been eating and i feel really poorly, my arms and back are red hot but the rest of me is cold, and i can breath heavy or i feel sick.

to top it off im 2 grand in debt and a full time student so i cant just keep throwing money awake like it doesnt matter so that just adds insult to injury.

Rolling Eyes Embarassed Crying or Very sad a very sad, stressful and dissapointing last 24 hours. Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes

its just gutting and none of you can understand, ive left school ive gone from bad luck to bad luck, i didnt know what i wanted to do with my life i became ill depressed and suicidal through family problems, and i was going fine since this July after my lets say 4 day stint in hospital Rolling Eyes

But last night, the feeling and stress of it all brought it all back, it would be nice for me to achieve something, id do anything for another bike and a CBT but its pointless i cant ride unless the suns blazing down and the roads are as dry as the desert, unless ive just had shitty bikes i dont know, binned my RG good and proper in the rain, normally i get up and laugh but that scared the hell out of me Shocked

Bad things always seem to happen to people who are pessimists, be more of an optimist and you'll feel much more light hearted and better able to deal with the silly things life throws at us. Smile

You're not unlucky, just disorganised. Try planning ahead instead of leaving everything till the last minute. Check you have everything to hand the night before your test. Then check again just to make sure.

You're already going to be stressed on the morning of your test, so a bit of preparation beforehand means you won't be adding to it by trying to find bits and pieces of paper minutes before you set off.

Thumbs Up

Just read the post, not a nice experience at all.
You have to remember, you have you’re health, you have you’re lady, and some people have debt twice that of yours.
Give it a few days, maybe ask for the past examiner you liked and sit it with them, they will see an improvement.
It will all turn out in the end.

Take it easy Thumbs Up

Mate, I mean this in the nicest possible way, but until you get your head sorted out you are better off staying off the roads.

At the moment you'll most likely stack it bigtime.

And no, you've not been plagued by bad luck, your perspective on life has just got a bit distorted.

Cant really be bothered to quote a few posts, basically i was organised, as in taking my wallet from my wardrobe and leaving it safe in the kitchen and it vanished either my younger brother or one of his scumbag pikey mates has took it thinking it had money in it and then dumped it off somewere.

Nice bloke i had was the second one, he was so leaniant (spelling!) , one of the strict blokes is leaving end of this month he was the sort of bloke to fail you for one minor observation Rolling Eyes

Id alkways been given turn in the road and reverse round corner, but this last one i had reverse park, reverse round corner and emergency stop!

i did look in fridge/oven/microwave/toaster/freezer etc i was taking on any possibility. Rolling Eyes

Just got to get some money into my account, starting some catering work at tescos earn me 60 quid a day.

Hmm got to fork out 19 quid for a licence and dont know how i get a replacement theory test certificate? There nothing of it on the website. Neutral

I know how it feels. I failed my theory twice, went to take it the 3rd time the centre was closed for unforeseen circumstances. Had to rebook it a week later and thankfully passed it. Very disheartening but you will get there in the end.

If you ring up the DSA they will give you your certificate number over the phone, i think you need your licence number though.

If you lose your licence, as you have done before, you need to apply for a new one. Then you get the photocard and paper counterpart. If you've found an original paper part, then it should be destroyed.

Agreed on this one mate.

Again, correct here. Before I took my test (and passed) I prepared all my docs A WEEK beforehand, as I always forget docs when I need them most.

Christ almighty, you got debt on cards at your age?

And what's with all the gotta have a car crap? I didn't have a car til I was able to afford it - at 22 by the time I'd gone through uni.

And please don't anyone quote 'poor background' to me, cos I've been there and done that one too - you know, single parent, father in the nick, all the usual crap trotted out as excuses by those who need an excuse. If nothing else, my upbringing in a poor but aspirational household taught me to prioritise.

You need to sit down and have a think about what you would LIKE and what you actually NEED. Do you really NEED that car/bike? Many of us managed on foot/cycle/bus and train at your age.

Once you have provided for your NEEDS then you can choose to SAVE UP for what you would LIKE.

Much unhappiness is caused by wanting what we cannot get RIGHT NOW and being unprepared to wait for it.

I'm sorry if all this sounds very harsh, but it sounds like you need to have a good talk with someone who can help you focus on what you really want, and can help you organise yourself to do it.

Your right mate in a few points there.

The wallet never ever has turned up.

As for getting into debt at my age, well ill try and short story it but im not one for opening my heart on public forums.

Basically since i left school i didnt know what i wanted to do with myself, i lwent to college and jacked it after 3 weeks, had about 4 warehouse jobs jacked them, then tesco, and various fast food chains, then i went onto be a mechanic apprentice but by this time my mother, i live with my dad lives 100 mile away (divorced) had lost all faith and trust in me, they couldnt be asked with me basically and wanted me out the house, whilst i still managed to get myself a part time job down kfc and starting college in september the crap continiued, the way i saw it was ive never had a lot of confidence about me, i find it hard to make an effort sometimes its just easier for me to say fuck it then do whats required.

Anyway my mothers boyfriend and i have never ever got in in the 11 years shes been with him, from when i was about 8 he threw me off the bed and i had concussion and bad bruising to my arm/ribs just because i was messing around with his daughters and i was laughing and when he came in i laughed as he was telling us off and thats when he lost it with me, also did it bout 9 months ago when my room was a mess, i kid you not all i said was ' it isnt, im late for work and i will do it later' he just grabbed hold of me like, i tried to get free of him he tripped with me in his hold and fell against the front door and cut my lip, he then dragged me half way down the stairs as i tried to get away from him and bruised my wrist.

He then did other things like push me around and stuff, bare in mind im a very quiet lad i keep myself to myself, i dont have many friends like but im not shy nor am i scared to admit the truth.

The final straw was when he pushed me around after trying to have a decent man to man chat with him, anyway i was putting wheels on my car i just went after him with metal trolley jack bar, was fuming, missed him and got the a pillar on his truck as he went to hide behind it then i just shouted all obscenities at him making him look a proper idiot in the street.

By this stage id lost most of my confidence, i was miserable fedup felt useless unwanted and worthless, my dad ended up telling to go to the doctors where i was put on anti depressants, middle of july i drunk a bottle of whisky , 3 litres of champagne and 9 cans of beer, took all 64 of my setraline tablets and about 80 paracetomols, 4 days in hospital and im still here Confused

All because i was your average, untidy, sometimes lazy teenager who simply didnt know what to do with himself. yet my dad put my mothers bloke against the wall for what he did to me, he blamed me myself for what i did because i should have sorted myself out with what i wanted to do rather than jacking jobs and dossing around Rolling Eyes

Some nights i use to just get in the car and go sleep in a multistorey carpark somewere, lived off mcdonalds for a week, got credit card and brought things to make me happy, now im back at colllege and ive been in a part time job for 5 months.

Im not scared of what ive done, im not scared of the truth or nothing, ill pay the debts off and i get up everytime i get knocked down, the household family life with ' him ' is sort of okay now, he helps me with my car and fixing things now and again havent had a fall out in ages, but i think hes stumped because ive finally held a job down whilst getting myself an education.

its hard to explain really andi dont know what your responses are to this.

now you may see why little things in my life mean a lot where as to some of you mean nothing, i dont have many friends, apat from when im at college, im either with my girl on here or out somewere but i like my cars like any young lad would and just with my constant run of luck it just gets me down sometimes. Laughing Crying or Very sad
Chin up tho! one day it will be all good!
