Copper (or Plastic, they look so much alike) needs a good slap for even considering treating that as criminal though.

I guess now that clamping has been "banned" they'll just be towing vehicles as "abandoned".

I know someone who has done this a few times with dvla clamps, the last one was on an escort van and he just happened to have a little model of the van so he left that stuck to the clamp instead.

Or you can do what my mate ben the builder does, petrol disc cutter em off and weigh em in, he never registers anything in his name, does everything cash and has no fixed abode (Well he does but doesn't tell) some might call him a pikey though lol

If I ever got clamped, I would just put in a claim for the damage they caused to my wheel and shock absorber by wrapping their dirty chain around it.

I think that's considered criminal damage of the clamp, but from memory I think there was a case of a guy who cut the chain then welded it back together and got away with it (?)
