What im after with this bike is how to distinguish between the Italian and Japanese version's.

I beleive this is a Italian version, https://www.bikepics.com/pictures/244233/

And I think this is the Japanese version, https://www.bikepics.com/pictures/107096/

Could someone please tell me if this is right. Also what brakes were used on the Japanese version, were they Brembo's or Nissin's. Thanks for any help/info Thumbs Up

For those bored see if you can spot the difference between the two bikes (ok, if your almost comatosed do it Mr. Green )

I'm now under the beleif that both of these are made by Belgarda (or at least in Italy), and the black bike is definately made in Italy. There seems to be 3 versions of the TZR125 that look like this the other one I beleive being a Japanese only model. Thumbs Up

Someone please correct me if im wrong though Smile

Hi

Both of those are the Italian made models, the black one being an earlier one.

The early Japanese TZR125 was very different with normal forks and a steel frame.

The late Japanese TZR125 looks similar in basic style to the late Italian one but has a long narrow section from the expansion chamber up to the silencer, skinny usd forks and (from memory) a swinging arm with a bracing piece on the top.

All the best

Keith

The Jap TZR125R has a different frame to the Italian one, still aluminium, but with a sort of triangle hole in the area where it meets the subframe. They do have usd forks, and a small carbon look silencer. The other thing is that it looks very similar to a TZR250R v-twin from the front, but the italian version looks more like a TZR250 Reverse cylinder model. Italian bikes are more powerful than the Jap machines, which i think still used the old type TZR125L engine, but with electric start.
