Hi there brought a xj600 divy project bike with a friend
But have decided to keep and use to do new test

The rear caliper one piston has been freed but the
One will not budge I have tried holding one back to pump
Other one out to no avail Sad please someone help Smile ..
Have thought about soaking in brake fluid or diesel already tried plenty of wd40 but does not seem to work

hi,
wd40 is useless for this sort of thing, get some decent penetrating fluid, like plus-gas or similar.
i find the best way to remove seized caliper pistons is to use the compressor & just blast it out. be careful though, as the piston becomes a knuckle breaking missile, so best wrap an old rag round it, & aim away from face, lol.

:D hi dude, with hydraulics still in place, insert caliper in very hot water and pump away...........if double piston, clamp with protection the "free piston".......

when stuck piston moves, as far out as you dare, clean and lub with brake fluid and gently force back in and repeat.

when stuck piston more free, pump out and strip clean assess and reassemble with new parts and red rubber grease.......
