I think if I had £2300, I'd buy this instantly.

Nah, I don't think so, for a relatively rare variant of a Harley. When was the last time you saw an off road Harley anyway?

I saw two at Raglan castle in Jan, and one parks in my town centre all the time.

Every day, pretty much - there's one sitting in the garden! (A house mate's, not mine.)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/csc/Motorcycles-Scooters-/422/i.html?_sac=1&_nkw=mt350&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc

Knock a grand off for a more realistic value.

They're fairly heavy and fairly slow however - a bit like Harleys, actually Smile.

There's loads and loads and loads and loads and loads and loads of these about.

They were built by Armstrong, and are usually listed under Armstrong as the manufacturer. From memory Harley bought Armstrong so some are marked as Harleys.

£2300 is a massive ripoff when there are loads around for about £1300.

I'll mention it - I think he was after something faster as at the moment it's his only transport, now he's sold his car.

Maybe it's just living out in the sticks then, I've never seen them around.

How much are they usually?

Edit: Usual price posted while this was being typed.

I quite like the idea of these things to be honest, they look like "get you there" bikes.

Hundreds of them about. Army surplus.

They are shite. Even if it wasn't for the fact that they only come up for sale when the MOD has finished with them (meaning they are 90% fucked, would you want a motorbike that had been ragged about by squaddies?), they also have a side mounted cambelt that runs on plastic pulleys with a dodgy tensioner.

That one is an exercise in very dedicated turd polishing.

I used to see them being ridden incredibly sensibly around Colchester in squads - but presuming things changed a bit if they were allowed off-road.

I wanted one for a long time and saw many for sale between £800 and £1200. Unfortunately you need a 32" inside leg to get on one. Crying or Very sad

So, it has a lights OFF switch then Rolling Eyes

On topic isn't this the bike where you take the front end of one model and put it on the other. Think put the disk brake front on the mt500 (although one has electric start and the other doesn't - think the one supposed to be for officers is electric (can't have them sweating in front of the ranks dontyaknow) although prepared to be corrected on that.

LMS Lichfield have MT350 bikes listed at £2040 - click here for page.

I have thought about one of these myself as a commuter. Also for when the lad passes his test on the basis that if it's thrown at squaddies to play with even he would have a hard time breaking it (although he would try).

Yep, it kills everything, dash lights included.

A mate has got one that he uses for flying around London in his job as a photographer.

It's been stone reliable and chucked down the road several times, with no ill effects.

One could almost say it's bullet proof Wink

Used to borrow one off the DR squad when I did my three year stint in the Falklands. Bloody bombproof and great on the gravel road down to Port Stanley from Mt Pleasant.
Ran into the same guys when I was posted to Jubail in the first Gulf war, seems these things handle sand and rocks just as well.
Simple enough to repair at the roadside.
Bloody ugly though!

Doesn't want to sell, I'm afraid.

And plenty of short people learn to ride big dirt bikes fine - just takes a bit of forward planning and practice.
