Looks like i may be looking for a 2nd opinion on MOT. Since my bike just failed today since they recon the frame or rear swing arm is bent so they cant aline the wheels.
But the bike passed MOT in Dec without a problem and now a different garage say it's bent?
The accident i had back in June which made a it a cat C write off was only the R side crash bars and radiator damage. No other damage was done to the bike? ____________________ Past bike: 2004 Hyosung Comet

Give motorhouse a call then. They are straight down the middle and do MOTs for the yamaha dealer in shirley aswell. ____________________ Was a driving instructor now working in Insurance

Got a friend coming over at W/E for us to loosen both wheels off then do the string wheel alignment trick to see if we can get it any better. I have also booked it into Spike Island on Monday for another MOT. Since hopfully they may be more sympathetic to an older bike but if they say frame or swing arm is bent then i'll be looking for somwhere to get it all straightend. ____________________ Past bike: 2004 Hyosung Comet

Well had a couple of friends over yesterday to prod & poke bike we took front wheel off then replaced loosened forks adjusted chain and rear wheel until everything seemed straighter.
Took it for MOT at SPIKE ISLAND this morning and it passed with flying colours with only 2 advisories:
1) Front mud guard not very secure.
2) Rear shock done up too tight.
Not one mention of bent frame or swing arm so told the saga of last MOT fail they took a quick look and said the only thing out of line was that the yoke was not it line so the handle bars were on the piss as they put it. So as soon as I got home I have now fitted the Arrow Exhaust and new front fairing
Won’t be taking my bike back to Double Take in the Future ____________________ Past bike: 2004 Hyosung Comet

Sorry for digging up an old thread but I took my gixxer to motorcycle mot Southampton the other day and they provided me with a great service.
I called up last minute and they managed to get me a spot the same day! The staff were a great laugh and my bike went straight through its mot. Am taking it back there next week for a service too.
Great prices and just general awesomeness. Check them out.
