what do i get for my second bike on (CBT)

Hi i am 16 and have a generic trigger 50cc Supermoto at the moment and i am turning 17 in 2 months so i was wondering what 125cc bike i should get. I was thinking of getting another Supermoto because this is the type of bike i am used to but don't know what to get? I have ridden motorbikes all my life but never a super bike so i dont know if i will be able to ride it properly. I am not a stupid teen who just wants to mess around the main reason for my bike is i will be finishing my level 2 motor mechanics soon and doing my level 3 at an apprenticeship which is 20 mins drive away so i dont know whether to get a 2 or 4 stroke bike aslong as my bike goes over 60 i will be happy prefeably i would like named bike e.g KTM/Yamaha ect

i have seen the wr125x before its the yamaha right? but what is the cheapest i could find one i have only seen them going for about 3 thousand and i only will have around £1600 thanks for suggestion though first time i have used this forum Thumbs Up

You wouldn't go far wrong with a Derbi Terra, on of the more powerful 125's out there, have a great riding position, they come in two guises, The Terra and the Adventure, which has bigger front forks, and a smaller front beak.
I do notice with the new laws that have just come in, that the limit is with a maximum power output of 11kW (14.6bhp), and I know that a few of the more popular bikes are 15bhp, but I don't know whether, its stated power or bhp at the wheel, I'm sure you insurance company will be able to tell you.
There's not many around, but there about your price range second hand, and like most things, they have there own FB page.
This is my lads bike at Rykers Cafe, we had been on a ride out, and it held its own very well with the bigger bikes.

i also have looked at the actual Yamaha website and i know that it is a much bigger price but however i could put down around 1000 deposit and pay 100 pound a month witch i could afford as well as insurance i was just wondering if this was the right way to go?

advantages: brand new, no problems, pay monthly

disadvantage: the very high price of the wr125x

I also done this for the Yamaha R1 which is a really beautiful bike for a 125, best i have seen but just a super bike Confused

Is there a lot to learn for a super bike compared to a Supermoto e.g riding style

With a 125, no.

They are all pretty "slow" and all handle fairly similar but there are the exceptions.

One being the RS125, which is the best handling 125 I've ever owned Thumbs Up

Wouldn't recommend one though.
