Heard yesterday that on Anglesey a motorcyclist overcooked a corner, went straight into a pedestrian who had only just stepped off a bus 2 minutes earlier.

What's your point? Razz

Suppose you rarely hear about motorcyclists killing pedestrians
So probably best not to talk about it as though it wasn't a rare thing, unlike cars

Are you warning us to not step off buses?

Unfortunate for all involved.

Lets hope the Anti biking brigade don't choose to use it as another tool in their arsenal, sullying the memories of both parties.

Particularly if you hang around for 2 minutes. They might have done a scratch card 1.5 minutes prior to the accident, or made a phone call 45 seconds before the accident, but no, it was the stepping off the bus before that that did them in.

My point was that you don't hear this kind of stuff happening much around North Wales, after all its a place where many bikers ride about.

As for the guy that had just gotten off the bus...just a reminder tht you never know what's just around the corner!

If true, then there's no plural in "poor guys".

Screw up like that, you're not a fallen brother, you're just another prat with more balls than brains.

You don't need a reminder, you're just "raising awareness" for stuff that doesn't need it. Worry about the unknown and you'll never get out of bed.

I heard about an old school friend dying in a bike accident on Saturday but hadnt realised this thread was related until now.

Sad story really, the biker has 3 kids and another on the way, no doubt the 78 yr old pedestrian has children and grandchildren.

will be interesting to see what the investigation turns up, if anything.

The bus driver was probably MI6, so he'll never be charged.

Fuckin A to this.

If some dickhead had razzed his Corsa and wiped out some poor sod on the pavement, we'd be calling for his head.

Just because this dickhead was on 2 wheels and killed himself in the process doesn't mean he should get let off. The road is for road riding. Take your racing to the track.

I went to the funeral last Monday. It happened in a 40 limit .... A 40 limit was Set 20 years ago after another fatal bike accident on the same bit of road. The A5025 is notorious for fatal accidents here on anglesey. Over the years it's gone from a national speed limit to mostly miles of 30,40 and 50 mph zones with mile after mile of solid white lines yet the death toll is still increasing

I still dont get why this was posted.

The only reason i can think of for the media to feel this is news worthy is to jump on the "Motorbikes are dangerous" bandwagon.

Was a best friend of mine, lived 2 mins from me and was a really nice lad and would prefer it if people didn't comment on what happened if they don't know the facts. I have heard many stories of what happened but take them all with a pinch of salt as we don't know exactly what happened.

Rest in peace Chris, you will be missed my friend.
