...was the sound of me/my bike going down the road.

I decided to go shopping in this nice cold/wet weather...

I was riding sensibly as I always do in the wet. Going round a roundabout, back slips and then within a split second, wooosh the bike went down. I slid for a bit. I'm ok, few cuts/bruises. Bike has scratches/cracks on the fairings, can is a bit mashed. Rear brake lever is bent. More scratches on the engine case.

Bike still runs ok though. Thumbs Up

I'm not sure what advice I can give except keep up the good, safe riding. Thumbs Up

Tsk Tsk Tsk Claud! Anyone would know that this IS NOT a nice crisp summer day in Hertfordshire! Wink At least you and your baby blade are fine Thumbs Up Ah well, least you weren't doing 69mph around the roundabout. The rear DOES slip all too easily in this weather. Thank god in my area, they've got the grit trucks out (unluckily for me, i was following one and was unfortunate to have nice chunks of NaCL on my visor and on my recently WD40'd front end - bugger)

I was just saying to my mates about BCF member's annecdotes of falls within the last week!

Let's hope we don't see any more offs this side of winter please Thumbs Up

Boo! Evil or Very Mad

Did you have frame sliders? I'm pondering getting some for myself considering all this crashing business going on.

Glad to hear you're no worse for wear. Just remember one very important thing, chicks dig scars. Thumbs Up Mr. Green
