Hi i have a set of 2005 z1000 front nissin calipers and master cylinder fully rebuilt with brembo pads braided lines ect, i have made a bracket that fits them to mount to my curvey sv650.

now the brackets iv made look very industrial and tacky but iv stumbled across some on the svracingparts.com site that i can get to me for about 65-70 quid.

they state there for these model bikes.

Nissin CBR 600 F4 - F4i All Model Years, 2000 - 2001 CBR 929, 2002 - 2003 CBR 954, 2003 - 2004 CBR 600RR or Honda RC-52 2001 SP2 and up.

heres a link to the site of them aswell.

https://www.svracingparts.com/products/#!/~/product/category=484220&id=1632829

and heres mine.

so are they going to fit ?

You're going to have to find out the hole centres and see if they match first. Kawasaki as well as Suzuki used to use 90mm fixing centres for the Nissins, is that what you've got along with 62-63mm centres on your bike? You'd have thought they would have listed Kwak and Suzi Nissins as also compatible if they matched. Try and find out what the Honda bolt centres are then you'll know for certain no harm in asking the supplier for the size.

im certain there nissins i have ere 90mm centres aswell as the centres on my fork legs but the holes on the legs and calipers sit flush and not offset so a bracket is needed.

id have thought kwak would be listed as you say.
i need to get mine next to one from the list they have on their site really. just hoped someone on here new.

I have a 2001 CBR600f (F4i in the US).

Want me to measure my caliper bolt spacing?

They look rather similar to the gold calipers you have, but without the Torx head bolts.

cheers donny brago but its not really the hole centres that wont fit but when you look at the nissins i have and the nissins from the cbrs theres very slight differences such as if you look at one of the cbr calipers the bottom mounting hole is slightly offset from the centre of the caliper where the ones i have the hole is bang on the middle of the two pistons.

so its more a case off they prob will fit but the pads wouldnt sit on the disc properly and would possibly wear a groov in the pad or maybe the disc would hit the top of the caliper on the inside.

im perfectly happy with the mounts iv made but they look shit these look slick.

Without meaning to piss on your chips, I remember reading somewhere that the SV's forks weren't up to having more powerful brakes fitted; something about bending stanchions. I can't speak with any real authority on the subject, but I would advise having a read around, since other people have tried it before, with mixed success.

Drop a GSXR front end in? Seems to the be the most common way to decent stopping power.

If the Nissins will physically fit onto the SV fork legs, then there should be no problem if the disc rotors are the same size on both the donor bike and the SV - The contact area of the pads on the disc rotor should be the same. There may be other little issues to deal with though.
I recently put a pair of Nissins from a 954 'blade onto my ZZR600. They were pretty much a straight swap, but i did need to put a couple of spacing washers between the fork leg caliper mounts and the calipers so that the calipers sat centrally on the disc. I also had to file about 0.5mm from the inside top of the caliper itself to stop the disc rotor from rubbing against the caliper, but this is such a tiny amount that it will have no effect on the caliper.
Hope that helps

the gsxr is a waste of money imo, unless you get the gsxr front end set up to the correct weight its just a very expensive and painfull bit of bling.

the calipers do not fit the leg, the bolt holes on the leg and calliper are both 90 mm centres but, when the caliper is on the disc in the correct position the holes are flush with each other as in the pic above with the spacer im just going to leave the brackets iv made for now as they work.

and the comment about bending stancions i doubt very much that a stanchion will bend before a tyre skids,
