Hi,

Changed the Vara from a 130/80 17 to a 130/70 17.

Also went from a Pirelli MT50 to a road based radial from a Derbi GPR125.

Now, my speedo appears to tie in with MrJoolz Blackbird at 70 on the way in, so its not showing the speed wrong as such but with this tyre on, it has no issue whatsoever at hitting the limiter in 5th.

Previously on its MT50, it hit 80 at a push. Today it hit it the whole journey, apart from up a hill that it would usually do at 60... it sat at 70 today.

Would this small tyre change really affect a bike this much? The new rear is similar to a Michelin Pilot Sporty, but with chingchong name on there.

I assumed it was only changing wheel size i.e. from 21" to 17" that messed up speedo.
