Came home last Friday and noticed our security light had been moved. Thought it was a bit odd but assumed it was a neighbour who was annoyed at it shining in through their windows or something.
Came home from work tonight and the gf hands me a yellow card with "Police Message" at the top. Apparently our next door neighbour had his shed broken into that night and one of his bikes nicked. As my light shines into his garden no doubt it was the thieves who interfered with my light.
Now it's not my bike that's been stolen but having had one nicked before I can feel his pain. Not to mention that I am now back to being paranoid since both my bikes are parked in the street, right next to the entrance to his drive.

Dig a pit in front of your shed and fill it with sharpened posts. Turn your security light off. Stock up on salt and vinegar |

Get some disc lock alarms if your disc locks aren't alarmed, the more noise that goes off when someone tries fucking with your bikes, the better. |
My bikes are chained together with an Almax IV and they both have disclocks, alarms, immobilisers and are Datatagged. I wish there was more I could do. |
I dunno then mate, maybe look into a tracking unit which uses more than just GPS because GPS can be jammed.
If you can't store your bikes in a bricked garage or your house, leaving them out in the open is just one of those things you're going to have to deal with unfortunately :/
I have a HD webcam looking out my window at my entire back garden which records to my computer, and i have cctv on the front and rear of my house which is set to record when the motion detector goes off, i'm too cheap to get one of those Infrared CCTV systems, but even then i still worry when i'm not there and my bike is.
I just read this in the "What did you get form aldi" thread,

Chain and lock - it's a bit meh. But, it's for locking the ladders and bicycle together in the shed. |
So, take a massive ladder out there and lock your bikes to that, that way they sure as shit won't be able to just push your bikes into a van after cutting disc locks and chains which secure the wheels. |
