bit of a daft question, and I know what answer I'm expecting but given the option between hiring a van or borrowing a mates for cost of fuel,

would a ZZR600 fit into the back of an astra-max van in such a way that it comes out the other end in a usable condition?

if no, anyone suggest cheap van hire?

cheers.

measure your mates van inside, diagonally, then look at the bikes length and you should be able to tell if it will fit.

I managed to fit a 125 in the back of my mates renault kangoo, wouldnt have thought you could get a bike in at all.

Dunno how big the van is though.

An astra has very little head height I'd say no unless you want to try and put it in diagonally

The Astra Max is the high top version, so that shouldn't be a problem, but I'm not sure there's enough length, even with the wheels off.

They aren't much bigger than a modern Combo and I just about got a 125 scooter in the back of one of those a couple of weeks ago.

I got a CG125 in a 306 hatchback

My neighbour has an Astra van and I would guess that there would be plenty of room for a big bike, as long as you have the manpower to manoeuvre it in at the necessary angles. 2 man job at least.

Can't find any loadspace dimensions, but it will be tight at best.

My mistake, thought Astramax was vain halls model name for the van variant of the Astra.

So, what do i need to hire?

Transit would be a decimate fit, but a VW transporter might be cheaper...

Wife wants full coatings worked out before allowing purchase

That or wait until I've been paid. New job tomorrow.
