I've been given a visor for the helmet but it's scratched down the right hand side.
I was given it by a friend who had an accident but she bought an Arai helmet now instead of another Shoei and gave me the visor.

Would you use this visor?
It doesn't obstruct the vision at all as it's only just in vision a tiny bit down the bottom right hand side and even if I look to the right, it's not in focus to me...
I don't think my peripheral vision is that great anyway due to being short sighted.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's more likely to get you a pull....

Nope. Thumbs Down

Even if it's only in your peripheral vision it still looks gash. Bin it.

Who gives a shit what it looks like, if it is solid and doesn't obstruct your vision I'd use it. If it does mess up your view, I would not use it.

You could try polishing out some of the scratches, just where it is in view using progressively finer wet and dry, then plastic polish.

True. The scratches will scatter the light.

Depends how you define pricey.

I consider £30 for a bit of bent plastic (if you want to avoid £20 shatter happy Korean shit) to be daylight bumrape.
