Have a look at the main importers site and see if theres a dealer near you, believe me the bike looks much better if you see it for real

Mine came from Dorchester...just down the road from Bournemouth
The dealer in Dorchester is now closed though so I have to take mine to Taunton for any service or warranty work if needed, its not much further but I used to go for a ride around Weymouth or along the coast after getting something done to my bike, riding around the Taunton area just doesn't have the same appeal |

I was living in the new forest at the time and i just loved taking the bike out into the big long country lands with all the twists. But now I'm in London I have to filter through traffic all the time now and its just not as fun |

Comet's are very nice looking bikes, but I have to disagree that they look nicer than Roadwins . My friend purchased a Roadwin about 1 1/2 months ago and picked up the Moriwaki aftermarket exhaust while he was at it. It's one of the nicest sounding 125 4t exhausts I've ever heard, none of that Supertrap farting (though it's obviously nothing like a larger bike)!
Anyhow, we parked outside of a local one night right next to a red Comet and I took my time comparing the bikes while he bought some cigs. After 5-10 mins I just had to go with the Roadwin. The finish isn't as nice, but the overall package just looks meaner to me . |

I cant comment as my opinion is obviously biased considering I own a Comet, but I have to say that the exhaust on that thing looks the muts nuts |

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a Comet 250....
anybody, any idea about this machine? is the difference in CC and price worth it? Over here in Malta it costs MTL 300 more (approx £490).
Basically my choice is between the single cylinder 125cc Roadwin (MTL 1250) and the V-Twin Comet 250cc (MTL 1850). Besides that, whilst the Roadwin comes with 1-yr guarantee, the Comet has 2-yr.
Is there anybody who owns the 250cc Comet please who can give me some advice?
Thanks guys. ____________________ TaKKsi... the one and only...

I'd say go for the comet because the engine will be better and I think the top speed of the comet 250 is 85mph (120 odd kph i think). But if you got the roadwin the engine will be a little more sluggish and less power because its only a single. I'd say go for the comet 250 it'll put a bigger smile on your face |

Hi I was reading you posts in another thread...
how come you're recommending the comet and yours is falling apart? is it that bad? cos truthfully i'm 50-50 about the whole situation - rather, should i trust hyosung or not?! ____________________ TaKKsi... the one and only...

Comets are built quite well, its just I was being a little silly when I broke the rear shock but its nothing serious, as for the engine I was a little hard on it as I had to ride it 100+ miles in one day which isn't very good for any 125cc. The things that go wrong on my bike is due to me being silly hehehe. Ade067 has had nothing wrong with his so far so they must be fine. |

i've only seen one - the one in the showroom basically, and I don't think there are any more Hyosung importers here in Malta.
What I have noticed for sure is that its welding seems quite crude.
Another thing is that the guy didn't even want to start the engine for me (let alone a test drive!!) So it's sort of sounding all a bit fishy for me... ____________________ TaKKsi... the one and only...

Hi i'm new to this site I bought a comet 125 in mid september and an still running it in I've got the blue one I spoke to the main dealer while I wsa picking it up and he told me where the restrictor is only after I told him I was 35 and had been riding for 19 yrs
look at the end of the rear can you will see 3 small welds grind these out with a dremel or small grinding stone pull the tube out and hey presto an engine that breathes a lot better and sounds the business |

i read somewhere that if you change the silencer muffler to a sporty version (basically one which is wider in diameter) the machine increases its power ____________________ TaKKsi... the one and only...
