Derestricting...can someone help me!?!?

Can someone help?...

After derestricting the exhaust, do i definately need to increase the jet size? I keep being told different things from different garages, so now i am all unsure. Confused

It was mentioned on this site a while ago, that the jets size needs to go up from 110 to 120, but i was told today that i need a 135 in there. Confused

What have other people done?!?
Does anyone know what it should be?!?

well i had a UK standard bike from new. de-restricted the exhaust and the intake and suffered minor troubles at 'low' rpm's about 5-6 i think. You don't need to change the jetting but it would solve this problem. not that much time is spent at those revs anyway! :lol:

Ok, all this talk about exhausts an' stuff is starting to interest me...but could someone please tell me what "re-jetting" involves!?

Jets are what 'spray' the fuel into the cylinder from the carb (i think) in order to use the greater air flow possible once de-restricted it's sometimes a good idea to re-jet the bike. this would involve replacing the current ones for larger ones which would allow more furl through the bike, allowing greater power

My 95' nsr is using at 135 main jet and 40 slow jet with after market pipes on it and is running fine. top speed is around 150km/h

err i d/rd my 2001 nsr and havent touched the jetting at all,
it seems to run fine no problems at all.
