Why are you being so self-riteous?

What possible difference does it make to you?

I personally thnk you should fire off an angry letter to the editor of the Daily Mail.

Also, I think you win the prize for first safety-nazi post of the year.

Riding a motorcycle. Bloody death traps.

Sadly, no, I've already had to put up my yearly post explaining why riding in a t-shirt is not that stupid.

I enjoy riding in Shorts and a Tee if the weather conditions are right. Nothing nicer on a warm day than feeling the sun on you. Not sure I'd do it at Motorway speeds though.

I was to talking to the mechanic doing my MOT on Saturday. We got onto the subject of safety gear, he told me that for every second you travel down the road at 30mph you lose 3 mill of skin and 1 mill of bone if either are in contact with the road surface. And no I have no proof other than my ears hearing it.

Fuck that shit, but if you want no hands, ribs, spines, knees , shins then Knock yourselves a out!

Twas probably Justin Bieber's mate!

I'm all for folks doing what they like just as long as it doesn't affect me, pretty sure the cost to the NHS each year for under proctected motorcyclist injuires is pretty negligible.

Thumbs Up

He must have been freezing.

Apart from that, I don't judge... can't wait for the good weather so I can ride in a T-shirt and shorts, to be honest with you. Probably not at motorway speeds though.

Confused While I tend towards ATGATT (except on Easter Sunday because I'm at church), I'm not sure MOT mechanics have training in the abrasion coefficients of human tissue.

I could be wrong. And he could be right.

He got the highly reviewed and validated data from a bloke that sells spark plugs.

No, he said it was from an expert but I can't remember who. Might have been a doctor, paramedic or bike cop.. I've slept since then!

Each to their own I guess.

A giant chicken riding down the m4 would definitely of been more fitting for today I agree...

This. I'm sure he's fully aware of the consequences if he comes off.

this. when a guy took himself out on the front wing of my crx after trying to undercut me from the left lsne of a r/about, not only did he pay me for the damage, he got the full Dettol + scrubbing brush treatment on his arm whre the heat transfer from the friction of his nylon hoodie on tarmac had given him a whole - arm burn (with added embedded bits of nylon / tarmac). he showed me it, and I was like..... okay. Neutral

I had 3 base layers and textiles on and I was cold. The bugger must've had a heated tracksuit.
