Gorgeous! A mate had one in silver, same year.

He let me ride it, I was expecting some sort of religious experience after him singing its praises. It was very different, I was used to Jap trail bikes, this was the 1980's and even then it felt agricultural. I so wanted to be blown away by it Perhaps it was a nail, certainly looked as good as your mates.

I had the misfortune to buy one of those things new, a 750 Interstate Combat engine.........it cured me for wanting brit bikes. The Japs didn't 'steal' the bike industry, our manufacturers threw it at them !.
