I was just thinking earlier, of how many bikes and car's I've owned since passing my tests, I'm only counting road machines not non registered off roaders, and not bikes that i've half owned or looked after for a while for mates etc.

Had 7bikes since i did my DAS in order:
KMX200, TZR250, CG125, ZX6R, Peugeot Speedfight 100, Honda CB500S, KMX200.

And 7car's in total:
MG Metro, Rover Metro 1.4gta, MGTF135, Vauxhall Astra 1.4Merit, Rover 220 turbo coupe, Suzuki Alto, Rover 220 turbo coupe.

I think im a bit below the average in terms of number of vehicles owned for someone that's been riding and driving for over 15years. Embarassed

Many more cars than bikes for me.

Bikes - CBR125, CBR600, CG125 and CBR1000. I sound like a focking honda nut Laughing

Cars - Fiesta zetec s, MG ZR, 2X renault clios, fiesta zetec s turbo, Honda civic type r, Honda S2000, Ford escort, Nissan Terrano, Focus ST (X2), Toyota hilux, BMW M3, Focus RS, Porsche 911, Noble M12 and Range Rover Sport. Hopefully this summer an aston V8 vantage.

A lot of cars for my age I suppose but I do dabble in trading them.

Cars
D-reg Ford Fiesta 1 litre
F-reg Ford Fiesta 1.1
N-reg Vauxhall Chavalier 1.8
Haven't owned a car myself since 2008

Bikes
A-reg Honda VF500 Interceptor (my first bike)
A-reg Honda VF500 Magna
H-reg Yamaha RXS100
X(suffix)-reg Honda Superdream 250

Still got the Magna and the Superdream but no car !

Got car licence in 2001 and bike licence in 2003, so probably quite slow turnover on both modes ! the F-reg Fiesta was the only one I scrapped - rest were sold as going concerns - I try to keep 'em going

Started riding in 2010,

After passing test, I continued to use my CG125 and sold that september last year. Still have GPZ500 that I purchased as a first 'big bike', which although has been off the road for almost a year, will be used again instead of the CX500 that I currently use.

Got a Honda CX500, and also ride an MZ ETZ250.

Only owned two cars after passing test in 2008. SEAT Marbella 850cc, and a Peugeot 205 GL.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I had an '80-82 XL125S for a few months in 2011.

Probably had more bikes before I was old enough to ride on the road than I have since!
Cars? Oh Crikey... We all remember our first, dont we?
Bike 1: 1979 Yamaha DT50M, was first road vehicle in my name. Came as PX on a bike I had before I was 16.. was wrecked. Decided to do a pocket-money rebuild on it for fun. Got it to road, eventually, a few months after my 17th birthday! Written off by a Smidsy about six weeks later!
Car 1: 1957 Morris-Minor pick-up. Had that 18months while at tech doing A-Levels, after DT was totalled & parents stepped in and made mutterings! As a commercial vehicle, insurance was cheap at 17, but it had been owned by an aged mechanic relative previousely. Instead of early 947cc A-Series engine, it had a bored out 1100 Sprite motor, with a cooper head and a big Marina carb! Fun little hot-rod that one. But you know what they say, never plug anything in, in an electricians house! It was held together with bailer twine & pop-rivets!
Car 2: 1983 Citreon LNA11RE,. suposedly 'reward' for getting into uni from my Dad. More like punishment! I think I owned it about two and a half years, but it was probably only taxed for about a year out of all that... I kept cashing it in every time it needed fixing!
Bike 2: 1990 Kawasaki AR125. Frustrated by the Citreon, and broke, I bought it on tick to get me to and from, and maybe get a licence. Trouble was it kept getting nicked every time I got a test date! Had it almost three years, but last twockker killed it proppa, and that co-incided with Norwich-Union insurance bombshell, so I was effectively insured off the road.
Car 3: 1985 MG-Metro. Seven years old & rusty as buggery, but otherwise un-molested. Spent a bit of cash getting it welded up, and sprayed, and tweeking it. Was a lot of fun, but eventually tried killing me on a by-pass when a lower ball-joint popped, spining me accross the cariageway on three wheels, infront of an artic! But gave almost four years good service!
Car 4: 1987 Fiesta XR2. Eight years old, and low mileage, I was third owner after an Aged Auntie and her incontinent old Labridoor. She couldn't sell it. It STANK! I ripped out the interior and used dissinfectant on everything, and left it for a week in the middle of a field to air! After that? Was every day driver for about five years. Had 40K on the clock when I got it, and almost 120K when a nice police-man issued me a disposal notice, as a dangerouse vehicle! In the space of 18-months,It was rear-ended by four different people! One of them my father, and I was loosing the battle to keep the back hatch shut, bashing out the rear slam panel with a sledge hammer!
Bike 3: 1984 Honda VF1000F. Five years cleared the declared thefts for insuring a motorbike again! So rather than trade up the tiring XR2, I kept it and bought the VF, which got slightly more use until marriage!
Car 5: 1987 Ford Granada 2.0 Auto. Bangernomics. Needed something to replace the Fiesta after plod took it off me, and something bigger to ferry kids about. Had it six months, until my Dad, finally feeling guilty about writing off the fiesta, foisted next motor on me....

So, first ten years of motoring? 5 cars, 3 bikes, and they tended to last me pretty well... but we move on...

Car 6: 1985 Ford (USA) Aerostar Mino-van/people mover shit-box thing! Ought to have learned my lesson with the Citreon he gave me costing me more than it did him... same crap. Worse actually; he decided this was NOT to replace my beloved XR2 he KILLED, but a 'wedding present'... which I didn't want, and said so... so worked on missus to nag me until I gave in.... THEN after I sold my Granada, insisted that I owed HIM the money I got for it! Some 'gift'! Some Dad! Bludy thing cought fire when I plugged in a caravan tow-board! Cost an arm and a leg to get through an MOT when it was discovered that Catalytic converter equipped exhaust was rotten, and when some complete idiot walked up to me in the street and offered me hard cash money for it... I took it and ran for the hills!
Car 6.5: Meastro 1.6 auto. Ostensibly for the missus. she had decided to learn to drive. She crashed it on a lesson! OUGHT to have been an omen, really... but I used it rather than brave the gas guzzling Yank-Wank to get to work each day for two years, until she finally got her licence.... where-upon she thrashed the knackers off it every where, over-loaded with kids, getting three cautions for having more than five occupied seats until the gear-box fell out!
Car 7: Land-Rover Series III, LWB station waggon. Actually there were two, that I bought prior to the demise of the Yank-Clank, as a project. One was donor for the other, and after flogging the Aero-crap; I bought a load of much needed parts before missus could spend the proceeds! I got it to road, but MOT man reckoned it needed £250's worth of welding, which I booked in.... only for the gear-box to loose reverse ratio! I had a dilemah.... I had £250.... that would get the landy welded, or fix the gearbox. But not both. And three commutes to work had revealed that trying to find a parking space big enough for it was NOT an easy task! So I bought....
Car 8: 1990 Montego 1.6 Estate. £250, taxed & tested with a rotten boot! Brilliant motor! Refused to die. Only expected to keep it 6-months as a get me by till the Landy was fixed, but kept it three years; as general hack, keeping the Landy as 3rd car for the weekends!
Car 8.5: 1995 Range-Rover 3.5V8 3-speed Auto. Sold as spares or repairs; I had bought it with the notion of using its vitals as V8 conversion on the Landy. Couldn't 'quite' bring myself to break it without finding out how viable it was as a road-vehicle, so took it to my MOT man who, passed the ruddy thing, without half an interior! Missus imedietly claimed it as 'Her' car as it was an auto, and she had just killed the Meastro! And I fitted Seven seat kit to it to stop her getting pulled for over loading, figuring that she couldn't possibly 'kill' a Range-Rover.... I was wrong! She did her damndest... and seven seats just meant she had even MORE oportunity to over load it with kids! She took it when she fucked off.... god I miss that car! But small price to pay for such liberty! Not sure about the rest of teh divorse settlement... she got a fucking HOUSE free and clear and aparently that STILL wasn't enough!

So, broke. VF was now off the road, the Montego had been scrapped, and the Land-Rover was looking rather sorry for itself.

Car 9: I was given, a 1985 VW Gold 1.6 "The Bird-Bath"... it filled with water every time it rained, and the windows were held up by stuff wedged in teh frames... but it had an MOT and was free.
Car 10: I was given a Metro 1.3 Autro by friend of aunt I had had the XR2 off. One lady owner from new; low miles, always garaged it was FANTASTIC... as Metro's go.... and I do have a soft spot for them! Unfortunately Twockked off the drive while I was at a court hearing during divorse... I still wonder if there is any connection..... Ex had seen it before she split, and was keen that aunties mate give it to HER.... then spotted it on my drive? Well, the First Range Rover had been smashed up by her then abandoned outside my house.... reported 'Stolen' by her, anticipating that I would be charged for stealing it and causing criminal damage to it! Not that she's vindictive or anything! poor rangie!

Bike 4: 1992 Honda CB750 'Retro'. Bought 'cheap' with a Tax Rebate, before the lawyers could get thier hands on it! As a stop-gap until I could fix up the VF1000... it's still stopping the gap, but demanding more attension than the VF!
Car 11: 1991 Range-Rover 3.9 Auto on Gas. Bought to replace the Metro; with proceeds from parting out the old Series III. A rolling renovation, I got incredibly 'cheap' as previouse owners missus had side swiped the brick wall between thiers and neighbours drive with it, demolishing a 4ft square butresss and 12 feet of brick wall... doing no more damage than a small dent and wonky side step to Rangie! Failing MOT she insisted her hubby get rid. So I grabbed a bargain! Served 3-years on and off, as works were done on it. So between that and next range there was:
Car 11.1: 1992? Volvo 440. With blowing exhaust manifold and dodgy fuel injection. Donated by another Auntie until the MOT ran out!
Car 11.2: 1994? Fiesta 1.6 Gia. Semi-Borrowed during family car pool shunt about.
Car 12: 1996, I think, Honda 1.4 Civic Auto. Permenantly borrowed at end of family car-pool shunt around, as no-one else wanted an auto... and I like them! Current 'Driver'. Been in my possession... four years this easter, and refused to give up the ghost through three MOT's, each coming back with advisory that the rear shocks are a bit limp!
Car 13: Another Range-Rover 3.9 Auto on Gas, bought as it was cheaper to start afresh than keep on top of stuff needed on the last one, relegated to 'donor' for this! And proving to be a perenial project as often off the road, and not in the way four wheel drive is useful, as on it! But still loved!
Bike 4.5:... cara 13, bikes 5.... disparity has opened up here! OK... well which should I declare? 1975 Yamaha DT125..... I bought it before any of the Super-Dreams as a bit of fun, with the idea it would make a pocket money-project rather than sort the 750 for the season, so I could help Snowie with teh Pup... unfortunately stolen the day before its MOT..... so
Bike 5: 1986 Honda CB125 Super-Dream 'The Corpral'. Project bike to do up along side Snowie's Pup, was actually registered in her name, so she could ride it while the pup was being completed, then I rode it so we could go out together. sold to Smiler who buggered it, so I could do another. Which I did... and sold without putting to road, to some-one who hasn't buggered that one!
So, looking rather more 'car' biased here than it ought to.... but that's bangernomics in play; and becouse I've only counted the ones that have been roaded. Count the non roaded ones, bikes probably get the higher marks..... There are more bikes lying around still current, than there have been cars.
Next? Well happy enough with the Civic as long as it keeps going, and the Rangie, as and when it works! And still waiting Insurance Pay-Out for the Yamaha. Had thought to get a VF750 or something as a ready rider with that last summer... but now? Think I might get round to doing something with the CB750 as I had planned before being interrupted by the tiddlers; if I can get anything two-wheeled to road this year. Else I'll just keep nicking Snowie's... since I paid for most of it!

Three cars since 2007.

Fiat Punto 1.2 - September 2007 - November 2009
Ford Focus 1.8 TDDi - November 2009 - January 2012
BMW 528i SE Auto - January 2012 - February 2013

One bike since passing my test in January 2013

Yamaha XJ6 Diversion ABS - February 2013 to present

Would have loved to keep the BMW, but spending nearly £300 a month on fuel, and the gearbox warning light popping up made me sell it.

Bike now costs me £70 a month in fuel. Even with the repayments (£125 a month), I'm £50+ a month better off.

Passed my bike test August 2012-
Had my 04' Hyosung gt125 from January up until a few days after passing, was cosmetically shagged but still managed to get £950 for it! After buying it for £850, Then aqquired my 99' B600 until november where I sold it in favour for a car. Bought next bandit back in February and that's my current ride!
Passed my car test February 2012, had my car- 01' Peugeot 306 1.4 from Nov to Feb, only to regret selling my bike and actually having some money in my pocket to which I sold it for my bike.
