Evening guys,

I am working on an event at a uni on Bedford Way just off Russel square in London on Saturday and will be commuting up from Kent.

Just wondering if anyone knows if there is bike parking around this area and if I need to pay?
The event will be running from around 2pm until 11pm that night so I am assuming I will be ok to park for this amount of time providing that there is parking nearby?

Thanks for your help in advanced! Thumbs Up

Michael

Russell Square used to be on my route to work and I once had an amusing incident involving grapefruits and a Rolls Royce there.

Anyway, it's been a while and I think they've changed the road layout slightly, but there used to be parking bays right round the square, but I don't know if bikes have to pay, if that helps.

Russell Square is not in Westminster, it's Camden, so bikes park for free in that area. It has been drastically changed recently including traffic flow BTW so I don't know where any parking is, but there will certainly be some.

If there's room for a plane then there's room for a bike. Just park it under one of the wings Smile (google maps)

Parking is free after 1:30pm for all vehicles (in that area) on Saturday so you will be fine.

Plenty of bays which are free around the park opposite 26 Bedford Way (UCL ) which backs on to Institute of Education.

If you are looking at getting a little out of the way, theres one halfway along Bernard Street & one opposite the farm on Landsdowne Terrace (Safe fixing to railings).
2 on Malet street with secure ground anchors
