Hi,
Just got a letter saying my tax runs out on April 30th. Was just wondering what date would be the best time to re-tax it. As am i right in thinking if you do it at a certain time you will lose most of the month?

Also insurance is coming up to a year as well, i've had no claims. They are a bit of an unknown scumbag brokers so i do intend to leave them. What do they have to provide as proof of no claims for when i switch company?

Thanks

If you tax it between now and the end of May, it'll start on the 1st May

Depends on the company you buy it from. Some will just take your word, others will contact your old insurers, other again will want a letter from your old insurers.

Normally your renewal letter is proof of your NCB so you may have to provide a copy to your new insurance company.
